« The general condition of the hotel is poor, old, tired and a bit scruffy. The rooms just about fit the bill, but the bathrooms are very small. « We had a really enjoyable stay at Townend Farm and Julie was extremely helpful booking a meal at the Tiger Inn and also giving us information about local bus services The breakfast was a really good standard and cooked perfectly . Our only concern was that the rooms were on the second floor with steep staircases which made it difficult to carry suitcases and to access the rooms.Perhaps it might be worth pointing out on the website Thankyou Julie for a lovely stay »

« A comfortable and nicely appointed hotel in the centre of the town. Many hotels allow early check-in if rooms are available, but NOT the Hampton by Hilton. You pay £10 per hour extra. A very disappointing practice. Low-cost airlines charge for every little extra; it seems that there are low-cost hotels! »

The Grand is 'grand' a stylish property probably more than 100 years old- carpeted rooms- confortable bed-high ceiling- modern bathroom-(good water pressure)- decent included breakfast- very friendly staff.
