    Tucked away in the peaceful Whalehead Beach community, The Lucky Viking is the perfect retreat for multi-family and multi-generational vacations you’ll remember forever. Spacious, thoughtfully designed, and packed with amenities, this home blends relaxation, accessibility, and fun for guests of all ages.

    Pets welcome (fee applies).

    Enjoy resort-style outdoor living featuring a large cabana pool bar with television, a dining area and mini-fridge, around a private pool. Inside, you’ll love the elevator, a wheelchair-accessible queen bedroom (second floor), and expansive gathering spaces designed for comfort and connection.

    Linens and bath towels are provided (please bring beach towels). Beds are not made; clean sheets are bundled on each bed.

Great house and location everything was perfect other than only a few bikes were in working condition and we had to pull weeds and overgrown foliage to use the charcoal grill. Over all really enjoyed our stay!

Had a great time. Huge house with terrific amenities. The elevator was a big help with my Mother in Law. Pool, hot tub all fantastic. We have rented many houses and this is by far the best one. Would rent again!

We enjoyed our stay . Easy to get to the beach. Interior of the home was very comfortable, plenty of room and areas for privacy. Convenient to get to the beach.none of the bikes were in working order, would have loved to be able to have used them. All and all relaxing , fun time.

We had a great stay at the Lucky Viking with friends and family! The place has everything you need - pool, outdoor cabana bar, two grills, elevator, pool table, short walk to beach, and lots of beds and baths! Host is very accommodating and responsive.

Check in was seamless. House was as described. Owner was responsive to a couple of items and took care of concerns quickly without impacting our enjoyment of the property. Pool area was great and cleaned during our stay. Highly recommend. A little far from the beach but the bikes were a nice feature. Overall, great place!

The Lucky Viking Stay

We had an amazing stay at this OBX property! Our group of 10, ranging from kids to teens to adults, had more than enough space to relax and enjoy. The pool and tiki bar were absolute highlights—perfect for soaking up the sun and hanging out together. Amy was a fabulous host. She was incredibly responsive, helpful, and so pleasant to communicate with. Booking and coordinating with her was seamless from start to finish. Highly recommend this home for any family or multi-generational group looking for a fun and comfortable OBX getaway!

Amazing Home!

The Lucky Viking was a wonderful choice on the Outer Banks for our group of friends to get together. A short walk to the beach, close to shops and restaurants. The home is amazing with a pool, outdoor bar, hot tube and almost every amenity you could ask for. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed every minute of our visit. Amy was a wonderful host and responded timely to every inquiry.

Great house!

This house was absolutely perfect for our family of 13! It was clean, spacious, had a very clean well-stocked kitchen, and the pool area was amazing! The walk to the beach was a little on the long side, but totally worth it. The host was easy to reach and very responsive to our needs. We would definitely stay here again!

This was definitely plenty of space for 13 adults and 2 children! The beds were more comfortable than your typical rental property and we had all our bathrooms working. The kitchen had plenty of utensils and pots and pans, though the only food present was some spices in the spice rack, so it’s important to plan on needing to bring things like your own food, toiletries, and toilet paper (or buy in town - grocery stores are nearby). We really enjoyed the walking path to the beach, it is a big improvement on walking on the street to the beach!

We loved our stay at the lucky viking, between the overall amenities provided and the proximity to the beach there was so much to do. Corolla was lovely and we will definitely be returning. The cleaning service could have done a better job cleaning under the beds and cleaning the dead bugs from the window sills, but other then that the property was very clean. Overall a great time had by all.

This was a wonderful spot for my family. There was plenty of room for everyone and the open kitchen and living room gave us all a chance to be together. The place was very clean, and the amenities were plentiful. The elevator was especially helpful since quite a few of us were seniors with handicaps. The contact was very friendly and helpful, too. I highly recommend this rental.

Lucky Viking - Amazing!!

What a fun experience on the Outerbanks. The Lucky Viking offers a little of everything. Easily supported 5 families, big and luxurious, pool & hot tub. Great outdoor bar and BBQ area(s). Plenty of parking. Close walk to beach and Currituck Lighthouse, park and views of sound are only 5 mins drive. Sand driving within 5 mins also...great fishing and wild horses on the beach.
