Ce chalet classique de 3 chambres et 3 salles de bains se trouve juste au bord de l’océan, dans la zone réservée aux véhicules à quatre roues motrices située au nord de Corolla. Apportez vos chiens (jusqu'à 2) sans frais supplémentaires. Observez le lever du soleil depuis votre pont avant le matin et observez les chevaux sauvages errer sur la plage depuis votre pont privé.

Niveau inférieur: entrée, carport, douche extérieure, passage pour la plage.

Niveau intermédiaire: Chambre à coucher principale avec lit Queen et accès à la télévision et à la terrasse, Grande salle avec centre de divertissement avec TV, Cuisine avec 5 tabourets de bar, Sièges pour salle à manger 10, Demi-bain, Buanderie, Accès aux ponts.

Niveau supérieur: Chambre des maîtres avec lit Queen, accès à la terrasse privée, Chambre des maîtres avec lit Queen, accès à la terrasse privée, Loft avec 2 futons, télévision

Parking sur la plage:

Le comté de Currituck a mis en place un système de permis de stationnement pour la plage de Carova. Les permis ne sont pas obligés de conduire sur la plage pour accéder à la maison, mais ils sont nécessaires si vous prévoyez de vous garer sur le rivage pour utiliser la plage entre le 24 mai et le 2 septembre. Le propriétaire de cette maison fournit à ses clients 2 laissez-passer. Ces laissez-passer DOIVENT être retournés au bureau de la Corolla au moment du départ. Si les laissez-passer ne sont pas retournés, les invités seront facturés 200 $ / passe à remplacer. Des permis supplémentaires ne peuvent être achetés qu'au centre d'accueil Currituck Mainland ou au centre d'accueil Corolla.

AMAZING House!!

Great house, perfect location! Walking into that house and seeing the ocean and beach right outside the windows! The house is perfect, all the bedrooms have bathrooms and the main living area is open and comfortable. The furnishings were all comfortable, very important! You might find that perfect house in the perfect location but if the beds hurt your back and the sofas and chairs make you miserable, it doesn’t matter how perfect the house is! We were surprised at the amount of traffic on the beach, and I mean trucks zipping by, passing each other! We have been to 4x4 beaches before but we have never been to a place where the beach is actually the road! That coupled with the amount of construction going on further up the beach made for treacherous conditions on the beach, especially at quitting time for the construction workers! But we knew in advance that there would be vehicles on the beach so it doesn’t seem fair to complain about it. However, I will really complain about the cleanliness of the house, needs work!! Love it, hope to come back soon!

Beautiful Beach

You Can't get any closer to the beach! We loved watching the sun come up and the evening walks on the beach. The seafood was delicious, we did not want to leave! The house was clean and had all the basics sheets, towels and dishes pots and pans. No spices or paper products. We would love to come back.

Beautiful house with direct beach access

The house was beautiful and located mere steps from the beach. One of very few homes with private beach access. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you could need. (Remember to bring your own dish soap and hand soap.) There were nice extra touches throughout the home, including lots of books to read, board games and puzzles, beach chairs and boogie boards. Each bedroom had its own master bathroom which was a nice surprise. The horses visited several times throughout the week - practically on the back porch! We also saw dolphins several times during our visit. We did notice some of the things others have mentioned. We had some difficulty opening and closing the sliding door. And we experienced the bugs on our last day. (Be careful opening the door after dark because the swarm will enter quickly!) We had a leaky kitchen faucet which hopefully was replaced prior to the next guest arrival. The most comical discovery was that all bedroom lights/ceiling fans were controlled by remotes which in turn controlled all other bedroom lights/fans. So if someone on the first floor turns their light off, someone upstairs will find themselves suddenly plunged in darkness. We gave up on the ceiling lights and used lamps. :) The only other item I feel I should mention is the 4WD beach. Having never been to the OBX before, or the 4WD beach before, we didn't know what to expect. This beach definitely belongs to the vehicles and they are quick to remind you of that. Vehicles do not slow down or move away for people trying to sit or play in the sand. I would not recommend this beach for anyone with small children. It's too easy for an excited child to dart across the sand in front of a speeding vehicle.

Impeccable views

Loved loved loved this house! The kitchen has everything you need! The location is just perfect for sunrises and sunsets! The proximity to the beach is perfect! Doesn’t get much closer! Stocked with games and puzzles which we loved! Plenty of seating for everyone! Only downfall was finding the house the first night - other than that it was amazing!

Location location location

The proximity to the beach and the views were incredible! The only house within view that had its own private staircase to the beach made coming and going a breeze. The additional amenities such as fishing poles, corn hole, and a freezer to keep tackle were a nice touch! The only two items we weren't a huge fan of were that the sliding doors would stick and needed some extra muscle to get closed and every bed in the house was wrapped in a plastic cover. I understand that might be necessary for children staying in a rental, but for adults it wasn't necessary and quite annoying to sleep in. One room with a king bed for couples would be a nice improvement. We had some trouble with the check-in/out process. I replied to their initial message requesting what cell provided we had about 4 times and none of those messages were received. During one call to the rental company I inquired about my early check-in request and the person that answered was extremely rude and curt. When I contacted them to check-out I had to call multiple times because each time the line was disconnected after they answered. I ended up having to call one of their other numbers and the person answered without any issue, verifying this wasn't a service issue with my phone. Overall we would stay here again and loved it!

Hard to Rate (GREAT location but HORRIBLE check-in process)

I feel bad for the owner of the house and for a couple of the employees at Beach Realty who genuinely tried to help us later in the process, but the beginning of the experience was AWFUL. No one at Beach Realty called to say we could check in (which they said they would) so we finally gave up and went to the house around dinnertime. No one @BR was answering the phone (even emergency lines), the roads we tried to take were flooded out and the address did not lead us to the house (take an unmarked side road to get there). When we did finally get to the house, there were people in it (seen from the road) who shortly disappeared - not a warm fuzzy since no one seemed to know who they were. When we went inside we discovered the place had not been cleaned - pee all over toilet, hair on shower walls, foul smells, dirty sheets, rotting dog food in the kitchen sink, bugs and sand everywhere... When we finally found someone to pick up our numerous calls they said they'd send cleaners in the AM, which to us was UNACCEPTABLE since we were exhausted from the drive and had nothing but dirty linens with no detergent to wash them. Kitty Hawk Rentals found someone to come clean the house (a very nice young couple although it was not the service advertised in the house description, such as making the beds) around 9 or 10 pm. AWKWARD. On the bright side, I can't say enough about the location, location, location! BEAUTIFUL views. Couldn't ask for better (although we didn't see any wild ponies or dolphins this week). House has nice dishes and top quality appliances but is missing key things such as a pair of scissors. The knives are all VERY SHARP (so do not rummage around in any kitchen drawers without bandaids handy). Unfortunately most of the week was stormy (and the beach access road under water so couldn't drive anywhere) - it was not the weather we'd hoped for but it was still pretty and relaxing so we took advantage of doing one of the jigsaw puzzles and watching TV. Internet is VERY SLOW/spotty (don't try to do work here LOL). Should update the description to reflect 3 1/2 bathrooms (only lists 3). LOVE the dog friendly aspect - we had very happy dogs! Beds are very soft so our backs weren't too happy but again we made the best of it. Exterior lights were broken and most sliders/curtains didn't pull back all the way. Not sure we'll be back to Rankin, but hopefully these items will be fixed for the next renter.
