« My mom and I had a lovely stay here in early July (in addition to the cozy bedroom, the big couch is good for sleeping on). Super pleasant walk into town. Great kitchen, stocked with coffee and tea - no microwave, unless we missed it somewhere, but stove/oven/air fryer available. You can definitely hear some regular life sounds (kids, pets) from the main house, so if you're looking for absolute silence you may want to look elsewhere, but that was perfect for us. « Blue Elk is an excellent stay. Vrbo and especially Tracy, the host, were helpful in making reservations and preparation. The site has all the appliances and supplies of home in good working order. The location is breathtaking. We loved the wildlife (although watch out on the road!) and (mostly) quiet, cool weather in late July, but warm blankets too. A great time had by all. »

« This was probably the best rental we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many across the US, Canada, Mexico and a few in Europe. « The cabin was in great shape. The seating was just right; especially the reading area. The king bed provided a restful sleep. We spent time on the deck watching the hummingbirds and the occasional parade of wild turkeys through the meadow. We also took advantage of the nearby rainbow trail for hiking. « We loved this property... very private, comfortable and some of the most amazing views of the Sangre de Cristos! Dan (the host) was accommodating and active in making sure we had everything we needed. The geodome was a fun experience and gave us plenty of additional room to hang out and sleep. « Bungalow was easy to find, plenty of parking once you got in the front gate, and even had enough space to turn around a trailer. Perfect size for the two of us inside. Clean and well maintained. Far enough away from town to be quiet but close enough to find things to do and for groceries. Woke up both mornings with deer in the yard and the creek burbling in the back.
