SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN FOR RENT!
We had stayed at Pirates Inn last year, knowing that the pool was out of service, and we were fine with that. The day we arrived after driving 15 hours from Ohio, we found a not-so-great situation! Entering the room, we discover that the balcony was OUT OF SERVICE! We received ZERO notice on this issue! We had booked this room in May! Also, to find the Table and Chairs in the ROOM from the balcony! Mind you, this room is a studio, so it took up half the room! I had to climb around this outdoor furniture several times to try to see why the door for the balcony was sealed shut. The balcony was getting fixed, etc., and there was no railing even up. So I try and call VRBO to try to figure out why I was not notified of the balcony situation. The first person I talked to tried to say that I was advised on July 12 about the Balcony.. THAT WAS A BOLD-FACED LIE! It was July 12, that same day! I checked all my e-mails, including spam and junk ZERO from VRBO. So I simply explained to the guy to find us another room, that we simply booked that room and that building for the ocean and balcony views! I explained to the guy also that only half the room could be used with the furniture from the balcony inside. He said basically it was not a VRBO problem, it was VACASA, the host company. So I called them, and the first thing out of the first person was that it was VRBO's fault. I had gone back and forth for almost an hour trying to figure out a solution. Received ZERO help from VRBO AND
