This is not the experience I wanted or deserved or should be required to pay. We choose this home for a work retreat for an entire week and was having a tough time getting thru the first 24 hours.
On arrival the first night, unable to use grill. Unable to use fireplace. Noticeable odor. Noticeable flies in the living room and bedroom that never went away. I was very excited about the stay and I would have just preferred that everything would just be ready on arrival.
First day, as i arrive back to the home from the store, there was a construction company working on the home, was on top of the roof and I had to ask them to move so that I can park my car in the garage. Very unexpected and unwanted and scary.
Second day, I'm outside working and another contractor is now parked out front and coming to service the pool. I sent him away because I was not properly dressed. I noticed later that the host sent an email at 6:29am to inform me that pool service would be happening that day. There was no specific time of day provided. Also in the email i was informed “ Once cleaned, if you find that the water level is low, we kindly ask you to please turn on the hose valve for an hour or two, and please don't forget to turn it off.”
I checkout out of the home the second day and asked for a refund. I planned and paid to stay for a week and was unable to do so. I had to check out early, find and pay to stay somewhere else because of the experience at the home. The refund was denied.
