âAC did not work but the fan worked. Some of the furniture was worn or broken. But overall, for Mexico, and especially Yelapa where there are limited amenities, it was fairly good.
The staff were helpful, especially Ismar, who spoke some English. As my Spanish is poor I was grateful for that!â

âThe room was so interesting and beautiful. But the grounds were the best part, the outside areas were serene and well landscaped. My friend and I enjoyed sitting out or enjoying a hammock by the river often. I also enjoyed that there was a small row boat that I could row over to the beach area. We had our first dinner there and it was the most delicious meal of our 14 day trip (the volcano one).â

We arrived hotel Acantilado in Tehuamixtle. Jalisco and the hotel informs us there are no rooms for us. We are 3 hours out in the middle of nowhere and it will be dark soon. I am thinking going to have to sleep in my car. So they now tell me that I can have a room for tonight, but it is not the room I paid for. I have only a place to sleep for tonight. We have an Expedia confirmation number, the reception is telling me there is no reservation. The reception told us to wait for the manager to ...

âWe enjoyed our stay. The restaurant was accomadating to us and it really was a nice stay. We deffinately enjoyed the cabana. It was very comfortable and served us well. The hot water wasn't working but we were able to use a different cabanas shower. â

âWe loved the patio. Perfect place to do yoga, watch birds and the sunrise hits the patio directly which is amazing in the morning. The bed was comfortable and the host(s) are very responsive. The house is up on the hill, but it only takes 5-10 minutes to walk into town. Yelapa has lots going on at night and can be loud, we found the location of this house to be located perfectly as it is close to town but far enough away that you're not surrounded by it. We would definitely stay again!â
