„Wonderful week at a remote waterfront Lake Huron house. Bring everything you will need, as you are 30 minutes north of Oscoda and about 30 minutes south of Alpena. There is a dollar general nearby and a wonderful restaurant 10 min north but true shopping is limited. The house is spacious and located just off a rocky shore beach point with great access for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, etc. Recommend bringing drinking water as well. „It’s a good location to do everything Northern east coast from Mackinac Island to Tawas and points inland. The cabin is spacious enough and the beds are comfortable. The bathroom is very small, but you don’t want to spend a lot of time in there anyway. Communication with the host was/is excellent and timely. The screen on the door needed repair when we arrived, but I contacted the host to inform them that it was like that when we arrived, so all was good. We enjoyed the beach, Oscoda, Tawas, and ...

„The cabin was great!!! Super clean and beautifully decorated. Kitchen was well stocked with all needed utensils. Lovely, considerate extras: ice, bottled water, fresh flowers, and so much more! We spent 2 nights as a couple and 2 more as grandparents of 2 boys (3&10). Such valuable memories and happy experiences. Beach was quiet and clean with anything you could hope for!!! So grateful for Carmen’s generosity. “

„We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was very roomy, beautiful yard, quiet neighborhood! Lots for the kids to do, they loved the air hockey! The host was great, we had a little hiccup the first day, and he handled it immediately, was very nice and easy to get ahold of! I was a little nervous because there was no air conditioning but we opened the windows and it was perfect. We would definitely book here again“

„This was a wonderful location for our family and dog to stay. The home was beautiful and the beach was lovely as well. It is quite a hike to the beach but there was a handy wagon there for our stay that we used to take things out to the beach. “

„We liked that it was practical and felt like a home away from home. Some cabins feel like they’re trying to be hotels and that’s fine, but this felt more like a quiet, simplified home. The layout was practical and there were places to hang towels. It made good use of the available space. It’s located away from the busy street and between Tawas and Oscoda, making for a shorter drive to both places. „We had a fantastic time, with so much to do outdoors, our 5 boys had no problem falling asleep completely exhausted at the end of the day. It’s a mix between “Glamping” and “camping” the cabin was super cute. Has a full fridge and microwave, with an outdoor grill. There’s no toilets or running water in the cabin, but the main lodge has showers and toilets and a full kitchen to use, and the cabin is like 50 feet from it. We had a blast and the kids have asked to come back here every year from now ...

„The cabin is really cute and well stocked, the deck is truly wonderful, we just picked the wrong week to stay somewhere with no air conditioning. Yes, there are plenty of fans and if you don't mind the heat it won't bother you. Checked the weather for the following week and it would have been exceptional to be there that week! The water is gorgeous- clean and clear, the beach is beautiful, with amazingly soft sand. Would definitely stay there again! “
