« A lovely historic hotel in downtown Cedar Falls where I was born and raised. My grandmother actually worked as a housekeeper here around 1914. The room was quaint and had lovely antique furniture. I was put off though that there was a charge for water as it is usually complimentary. There was a jacuzzi tub but it did not seem to work. The entry door was very difficult to open and I twice had to return to the desk to get help. It would take a shoulder to get it open so not optimal for someone who...

« Great property. Pool area was a bit small, but everything was clean. Woudl be nice if guest laundry was free, but it was still nice to have as we needed to wash kids clothes while there. »

« Main door is being worked on right now, so had to enter through sides. Staff was nice, but you have to pay $15/night for parking — weird considering the parking lot isn’t gated so anyone could come in/out. »

« The hotel was super gross. The smell was smoke/old throughout the room. There were spots in the room seats such as the recliner, walls, and the desk chair was so warn. The carpet was very run down and felt gross to even walk on. The bed was awful and woke up with a back pain. I strongly suggest NOT to stay here. »

« Two of the lights in my room didn’t work, so I got behind the nightstand to check if it was plugged in - only to find that everything behind the night stand was coated in dust & crumbs. (Also - it was plugged in, just not working) There was rust visible on the doorframe of the bathroom (it appeared to have been painted over several times) and water damage on the ceiling tiles. The room was musty upon entry. »

« The air conditioning is old, so it takes 15 minutes for the air to even kick on at all. The exercise room smells like straight up cat pee. SO BAD. I gagged walking in there, had to skip a workout. Everything is old and falling apart. It was an awful experience. The first room we were in the AC didn't even work and smelled like the smoke. The second room took the AC 15 minutes to kick on otherwise the room was okay. The elevator is old and rickety. Every door is old. The stairwells are not...

« Exceptionally clean, quiet, and comfortable. Host very accommodating, and surrounding property is very spacious. Am a little torn because I want to make sure everyone knows it's a great place to stay, but at the same time want to keep it my own secret so it's available whenever I want to go back! »

« Tile floor was dirty our feet were dirty from walking on it. Bathtub had a big bug in it and a clot of hair sticking to the side. Unfinished backsplash by bathroom sink and light fixture in bathroom did not have a cover on it. On the plus side bed was comfy. »
