« We had so so much fun during our visit! The location is so beautiful, we were so fortunate to see the peak of fall colors and it was breathtaking. We saw the sunrise over the mountains right from our cabin and we had a clear view of the sky for nighttime sky gazing too, the stars are so much brighter! The actual drive to the house was super manageable, didn’t need 4WD so long as you don’t try to drive up the gravel driveway, which Michelle advises against anyway. « Great place to stay! The cabin is beautiful and historic. Lovely walking trails and extremely comfortable. The host was extremely thoughtful and turned on lights for us inside and out as we were checking in well after dark. We hope to be back when it snows! »

« This was such a nice house! My son, husband and I stayed here for 3 days. It was great! There were condiments and so much stuff for us to use, which was nice coming from out of state and not wanting to buy all the things that we would just use a little of. The place smelled so clean and fresh! They were great about communication every step of the booking and check in. We plan on coming back with my other family members next time. There was lots of extra room! »

« Home is great. A bit of a challenge to reach due to part of the Blue Ridge Parkway being closed due to Helene. Went with the notion of being a wedding anniversary and near a dark sky site. Excellent in terms of privacy and relative darkness. Spouse is 5'2" and had a lot of trouble entering and exiting the hot tub. The mini split ACs are very effective, although it was challenging to understand they all have to be set to AC or heat to work. I'm technically inclined, so this did not pose an issue...

« Peter is an excellent host. Communication re questions/ concerns were answered promptly. All instructions re check in, check out, directions to property, use of property amenities were very detailed and were very helpful. The view was awesome! It was so quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. It was just what we needed for our family gathering of 3 adults and 3 kids. We enjoyed the hot tub, playing volleyball, and making s’mores one evening using the fire pit.
