« I rented this space for my dad and his group for a Thanksgiving visit to Portland. It was only for a few days. My dad would not stop talking about how much he loved it. It was perfect -- quiet, clean, and cozy, with friendly chickens in the backyard there to greet him when he walked by -- but I think it was the record player and Ray Charles records in the home which charmed him the most. Thank you for a lovely stay! »

« We rented both homes and really appreciated the separation of space. The beds were comfy and there were thoughtful touches throughout the homes. We loved the location and proximity to food and shopping. Had the weather been nice, I’m sure we would have used the nice outdoor spaces. « This house was perfect for our group of 9 adults. It's so spacious with lots of common areas, but also has private bedrooms for quiet down time. Huge bonus to have king sized beds in every bedroom. The location is also ideal, as we just walked a block over to Hawthorne St to restaurants and coffee shops. The host is very proactive with communication. Thank you, Thomas and team! »

« Overwhelmingly phenomenal. My personal experience was spectacular, partly because of the actual rental (the decor, the area, the elevator, The Deck!) but mostly because we got the opportunity to meet the owner herself, which is a gem of a person. You meet a lot of people traveling, but Vicki marked me profoundly. As for the actual site, we used it for 48h to visit Portland and Cannon Beach area, while on a 17 days tour of Oregon. The area is very high end, with really nice houses in the hills....

« The house did not actually have air-conditioning. It had a window unit in the front room that did nothing to cool any of the bedrooms. It was August and very hot so everyone roasted all night long. I would never stay there again and would never recommend anyone stay there. Especially not anyone travelling with a baby or someone who is medically fragile, or elderly. It was insanely hot inside.Also, there is a tenant living in half the house and they get the full backyard. So when you are too hot...

"The sound from the fan outside makes a crazy noise, the answer was "oh we are very sorry" but we have no more room available right now. When you stay in hotel, it's just because you want to rest and sleep.It doesn't make any sense to rent a room where you cannot sleep in ! I haven't even spent the night because it was so noisy.I had to leave to another place in town. I've been staying to that place in the last 15 years.But that's the very last time. "
