« The cabin had lots of amenities and was very convenient to the sights at Hocking Hills State Park. However, the cedar smell was extremely strong. I initially thought I might have to sleep in my car, but after leaving the windows open all afternoon, I was able to sleep with them open. The owner did not seem very understanding of my concern and said the photos showed a wooden interior, although I have stayed in many wooden cabins without such an overwhelming smell. « I surprised my fiancé for his 50th birthday with this weekend getaway. This cabin was absolutely perfect. It was clean, the bed was comfy and the quiet seclusion of the property was exactly what we were looking for! Plus, it was so close to the Hocking Hills Park! The host was gracious and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again. The only suggestion I would make is that the water softener needs to be balanced. »

« We were disappointed in the hot tub and did not use it. The water was cloudy. I didn't bother contacting the host about it because we wouldn't have felt comfortable using it after that. The water inside the cabin smelled, I do realize it was well water. The access to the goats was not good, there was what we thought was another rental behind us and we didn't want to disturb them. Sweet cat and kitten came to visit. The cottage was cute but needed some maintenance. »

« We had a great stay at the Aspen Haus with book hocking. It was very cozy and clean with most everything you could think of! The decor was very well planned and designed, which we enjoyed. There were two AC units in our cabin which was helpful with one being in the bedroom and one in the main area, we could shut doors and sleep at different preferred temps. The stove/oven in our cabin was out of order but we arrived to a hot plate and toaster oven brand new so we were still able to cook and bake...

« Dixieland cottage is in a great location. It feels secluded but everything you could want or need is close by. The view from the deck is lovely and the cottage itself has everything you need to be comfortable. The hot tub is a definite bonus after a long day of hiking! »

« I didn’t realize there were no bedrooms. The VRBO says two bedrooms, but it is two mattresses in two lofts with one set of steps. Only one of the three of us could climb steps so the place was hard for us. I feel like the description is not clear. However; if there were only two of us I would stay again. »

« We only stayed one night, but we wish it had been longer! The cabin was clean, cozy, rustic, and perfectly secluded. We loved listening to the birds chirping, relaxing in the hot tub, and enjoying dinner on the patio surrounded by nature. It was a peaceful and relaxing getaway, and we would definitely come back. »
