« Due to circumstances beyond our control we were forced to cancel our reservation at the hotel, which we did by telephone four days before our expected arrival. When the hotel refused to refund our prepayment, we asked for a raincheck, which they didn't even answer. »

« Had a few days in The Lakes while visiting family in the UK and attending the Oasis concert in London. We could not have been happier with The Ambleside Inn - totally excellent stay. Great location, wonderful staff (thank you) and although no onsite parking there are lots very close to the Inn and the short stay (30 min) drop off is right outside. Highlights: clean and pretty well kept, despite it being super busy (it was July!), with a really good breakfast and a nice cozy bar plus Pub Food in...

« If I could I would give this place more stars than what is allowed. One of my favorite places that we stayed at while in the UK. I can not say enough how much we enjoyed our stay. How welcoming and wonderful the staff is. Can’t thank them enough for the warm hospitality. »

« Excellent hotel bien qu'un peu cher. Tres bien situe pour explorer le Lake District, parking gratuit, personnel sympa et chambre particulierement comfortable. Excellent restaurant servant de la cuisine locale ainsi qu'un petit dejeuner copieux. »
