« We took a spontaneous trip to Malham Cove for a night away.
This lovely hotel is down a quiet country road 1/2 a mile from the cove and near to several other pubs and cafes.
The building is very old and reached over an old stone bridge or the beck (stream)
Parking is available and the room was nicely furnished with views of the water and a very comfy bed.
The hotel and attached restaurant is completely plant based. I somehow missed this fact when booking but I neednât have worried.

« I travelled by train. Note that the hotel is nearer to Settle station than Giggleswick station. There is a decent size car park at the back and a few spaces in front, although I obviously didn't use them. Buses stop outside but I'm not sure how frequent.
Breakfast is included in the price. I particularly enjoyed the full English; the smoked salmon and poached eggs were also very good.
Dinner is available in the restaurant; a bit dearer than what I'd normally pay, but worth it for the...

« We were walking The Dales Way and arrived on a very wet Sunday afternoon. The staff at the pub were extremely welcoming and reserved us a table for dinner. The shepherds hut was lovely and cosy (underfloor heating), exactly what we needed after a long wet walk! The breakfast hamper was very welcome too. »
