„Horrific! Never Again - Filthy, Run-Down and Rude Staff We booked this hotel for a very special occasion - a wedding - and it turned out to be the biggest mistake of our trip. The moment we walked into the room, we were hit with a musty, dusty smell that made it hard to breathe. The bathroom was filthy, with visible rust and mold. „Compared to other hotels in Scarborough this one is a good choice. A friendly and professional welcome, a nice view, a large room. The downsides are the room is directly situated above the bar & garden which has customers drinking, laughing and yelling till midnight. Food is ok, but not great. The friendly receptionist is also a very good escalation manager and took the parking fee off the bill to make up for the noise.“

„it's a great location, with a marvelous view. right on the sea front, only a few minutes walk from the city centre. check in procedure was fast but very friendly. should have booked parking, but that was my fault. what i like are decent showers, with plenty of water pressure, which often is a real issue in hotels around the uk, no disappointment either. i had a great easter break, thank YOU !“

„Wir haben das Hotel als Unterkunft während unserer Wanderung auf dem Cleveland Way genutzt. Positiv aufgefallen ist uns die sehr gepflegte Außenanlage. Im Hotel selbst wird aktuell umgebaut. Uns hat das für unseren Aufenthalt von einer Nacht nicht gestört. Das Zimmer war tadellos, das Restaurant vom Raum sehr schön und das Frühstück überaus reichhaltig. “

„Schöne, grosse Zimmer, aber sehr bescheidene, fast spartanische Einrichtung. Z.B. keine WC-Bürste(!!!!), kein Kleenex, keine Hygienebeutel, kein body lotion, kein Schrank für Kleider etc. Zimmerservice nur auf Verlangen. Restaurant: gute Auswahl, schön, gepflegt. Steak medium rare bestellt, well done erhalten(!!!). “

„Das Hotel hat eine erstklassige Lage. Die Zimmer mit Meerblick sind klasse. Die Sicht auf‘s Meer ist traumhaft schön. Das Viertel hinten raus ist sehr schlicht und nicht so prickelnd. Man muss ein paar Meter laufen um in schönere Ecken des Ortes zu kommen. Herausragend ist das Personal, alle, wirkliche alle Mitarbeitenden sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch der Chef des Hauses ist toll, er hat uns bei einem Problemchen schnell geholfen. Das Frühstück im Hotel ist typisch englisch und ...

„An sich sehr schönes Hotel. Ideal für Wanderer und Radfahrer mit eigenen Fahrradkeller. Der ist allerdings nur über eine etwas enge Treppe zu erreichen. Service top, Sauberkeit i.O. Sehr schöne Lage. Das Hotel wird von Hundebesitzer geschätzt.“

„Stayed in superior beach house at the Bay Filey. Lovely quiet resort a two minute walk down to the beach. Onsite pub and chemist and shop etc. The superior beach house was basically a large lodge style dwelling and we paid an extra £45 to take the dog with us. We had all the mod cons - tvs in all rooms, two on suite bedrooms, can fault the accommodation. Would have liked to stay longer and we will be back. “
