„The historic building is fabulous, the atmosphere great, it's the pole position in Windermere, great view on the lake. I wonder if it is necessary that during the summer season the building is under construction. With scaffoldings in front of the windows, some parts of the building beside the entrance in bad condition, and even a corridor we had to pass everyday was stuffed with furniture, cardboard boxes ... This is not the atmosphere for holidays. Due to repairs on some wires, the internet ...

„Had a good time there. The reception team was nice, however the concierge was very reserved and had its "favourite" guests. Not a good approach for a concierge and left a bad after taste. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. You even have to pay for special coffee drinks wich as cappuccino... Also not okay for a hotel in this pirce category. Rooms were modern and nice.“

„The hotel is located very central and has a very nice lobby and entry-area. Our room was in the 3rd floor which had a nice view on the lake but it takes a long way to get in the room, because the lift is accessable just from 1st-3rd floor and in the other part of the building. The room was very small and the restroom too.“

Nicht so schön war der Balkon/Terrasse, welche hätte einladender gestaltet werden können und staubwischen auf den Lampen ist empfehlenswert. “

„THE COUNTRY HOUSE IS SUPERB WITH SO MUCH CHARACTER AND GORGEOUS GARDENS. THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND THE ROOM GOOD. IT WAS A VERY PLEASANT STAY. ONLY NEGATIVE IS THAT WE COULD NOT SIT AT AN EMPTY TABLE LOOKING AT THE VIEW FOR BREAKFAST, BECAUSE THE STAFF HAD ALREADY LAID THE TABLE FOR LUNCH. SHOULD WAIT TILL ALL GUESTS HAVE COME AND LEFT AFTER BREAKFAST LIKE IN OTHER HOTELS.“

„We enjoyed staying in the property. We had a car and can visit all the Lake District attractions from the location. The view of the hotel was superb and manage to take some nice snaps. English Breakfast was included and the hospitality was superb. I faced flush issue with the toilet but the hotel has resolved the issue within quick turnaround time. Very impressed with the quick resolving of this issue. The room service was also good with general toiletries, room cleaning and towels changed on ...
