« We really enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly, approachable and couldn’t do enough for us. Acted on our requests swiftly and without issue. Breakfast was good but would like a bit more choice of continental items. We stopped in superior rooms and they were excellent. Would definitely stay again. Good location. Free parking on site but limited spaces. Thank you To all staff for our lovely stay and making us feel welcome. »

« Great location with wonderful Victorian era architecture and vibes. The staff were absolutely fabulous, especially the bartender. The food is delicious (the pizza at the bar was the best I had in the UK!), with great selection at the breakfast buffet. Comfortable bed, small bathroom, but that’s to be expected in an older hotel. Love the history! Byron stayed there once upon a time. Strong recommend if you’re in Harrogate. »

"In spite of some very lovely staff, this hotel is in an appalling state and desperately need of a facelift. Water damage on the walls, peeling paint, leaking toilets, a broken shower and windows that haven’t been cleaned in years. The owners need to spend a lot of money on this establishment that must have been spectacular in the past, as neither it or the staff deserve it being left in this state."
