„This is it! The room is fantastic! If you love a great oceanic view with the soothing sounds of the ocean crashing against the rocks. This is it! The location is a bit secluded from the local towns buttt still within 20/30 min reach and believe me if you’re going for the views, there’s no need to leave the area. Great restaurant (AMA) on property and a few local spots a short walk away. Literally a 4 minute walk from the beach (Cane Bay). If you’re double minded… just pick this one.“

„Good ocean view from balcony and pool, including sunset. 5 minute walk along road to restaurants and beach. Central location for island activities. Snorkel shop and snorkeling at beach. This side of island has exposure to trade winds, so the snorkeling is rougher than the west side. “

„Very out of the way remote stay, extremely small accommodations, the bed is a converted couch, although clean, air conditioning keeps the room a little cool, the road in is not for the faint hearted, not easy to say the least, property is very old, bathroom light is a pull chain, property says breakfast included, that means you get cereal and milk in your refrigerator, not a sit down meal like all other places! The bed only has a sheet to sleep on, no blankets, and bring extra toilet paper, ...

„We extended our stay by 2 nights and needed a place to stay. The Mermaid worked out fine for us (could use a new mattress) and the view was amazing! The owner was great and very easy to work with and replied to us right away. We did not enjoy the ride to get up there, but we were warned about it in the description. You do need an SUV to travel up there. Thanks for the stay!“

„Great home in a great location. The kitchen has everything you needs. Great property for kids. We felt extremely safe. Areas that could use improvement - the master bedroom does not have A/C, so it gets pretty warm in there at night. (There are 3 fans, but they do not really cool down the room)“

We loved the location, the beach, the snorkeling, The Landing restaurant’s food and drinks (we ate there 5 times!), and loved the free beach chairs.
