Hearing kiwi calling in the night and kākā during the day added to the feeling of being somewhere very special. Our hosts were lovely, and generous with their time and suggestions of things to do. The bach is just up the road from the Tawharanui Open Sanctuary (and night-time kiwi spotting), and the Matakana Market and Cinema are just 10 minutes away. We'll be back! »

« This is a very tidy well presented accommodation. It has a good position in the city that allows you to easily explore. We did not find out until the last day that it is an attached dwelling with the owners. The car park was too steep and awkward to get the car into and not block owners access, there is good parking on the road beside the house.
