This was the perfect little cabin for my husband and I to get away for our Anniversary and both of our birthdays. The host was wonderful. Clean, quiet, well kept little piece of paradise. This was our first time using a VRBO, we couldn't ask for a better host or place to stay. It snowed a little the first night, we woke up to a beautiful blanket of snow. The friendly doggies made us feel at home. Thank you for sharing your lovely cabin

I know it’s not always helpful to say a place is perfect, but the cabin was perfect. The host was a great communicator. The cabin was spotless and very well equipped. 10 minutes from town, an easy drive. A couple of minutes from great burgers at James Ranch. Hope it was ok to eat the apples on the tree just outside the front door because we had several!The cabin is rustic on the outside and quite modern inside. Minimal tchotchkes but lots of electrical outlets and good WiFi. One of the nicest places we’ve found on VRBO. Highly recommended.

The cabin was convenient to Durango and was very quiet. If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay, I highly recommend this cute little cabin. The host and her family were great. They even left fresh eggs and some butter in it for us to use. We loved watching all the different birds having a good time at the bird feeder while we sat on the front porch.

The property was spotless and homey. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the kitchen well appointed with everything I needed to prepare all my meals each day (essential when you're away from your own home for a week!), and communication with Julie, the property owner, was easy and delightful, starting with her bringing over eggs from her chickens the first day and telling me about the history of the cabin. Being near to the James Ranch Market & Grill, I was able to do my meal shopping with local and regenerative products and enjoy a burger at the grill (try the baconaise dip with your fries - yum!) Having also recently stayed at another Vrbo with an out-of-state property manager, I will say that this cabin *felt* like home and that it was being cared for by its owners as they would care for their own homes. Thank you Julie!

The pictures just dont do this property justice. The cabin was soo cute, it was well decorated, and the perfect space for my daughter and I. We had all the cooking utensils we needed and the host was gracious enough to have farm fresh eggs and a stick of butter in the refrigerator for us. The farm itself was amazing, the cabin was situated right next to an amazing stream of water. We would definitely book here again. Thank you Julie for being amazing host!

Tranquil and quiet

Amazingly unique remodeled log cabin with tranquil views, off the busy road and the only sounds you hear are the babbling brook running alongside the cabin all day and night. We even slept with the front screen door open and loved every peaceful minute. The host is quick to respond and is close by if any last minute details are needed. Would highly recommend this unique cabin for a quiet and peaceful getaway. Kitchen is equipped but w the James Ranch right down the road food is always amazing and you could even get ingredients for a meal to cook at the place. Can't wait to go back!

Lovely Cozy Retreat

We really enjoyed staying in this cozy 1 bedroom cabin in a ranch setting. It is newly renovated with new appliances and farm house accents. We cooked a few meals in the kitchen and found everything we needed. Farm fresh eggs and wonderful unique tea were a nice treat. The cabin is secluded from the world with great views of the mountains and a babbling brook that provided a serene feeling of peace for our time there. We would definitely recommend this get away for any season. A visit to the James Ranch restaurant and Marketplace just down the road is another great experience with cozy atmosphere and delicious food.

Stay at Historic Cottage

I had a wonderful, relaxing stay in the cottage. It was great to get away and enjoy the nature all around me. The cottage was clean, cozy and had a well appointed kitchen. There was great WIFI, plenty of hot water and a very comfortable bed. The location was convenient to Durango and the James Ranch Market and grill. Julie was available for anything I might need. I would stay again and highly recommend the cottage.
