8/10 – Gut

We got multiple sets of check-in and check-out instructions, and they were accessible in a variety of ways. I suggest they duplicate each other--for example, the check-out instructions posted on the wall in the kitchen don't say anything about towels, but I remembered reading something about them in the guest handbook. Making sure duplicates match is insurance that guests follow the instructions! Having an aerial photo about beach access was helpful--suggest including one that uses 2nd Street. Coffee maker/Keurig did not work, so with the owner's suggestion, we used the one from the kitchenette downstairs. Heated pool was wonderful. Furnishings were OK--a table and more comfortable chairs on the back deck would be nice (Adirondack chairs are not easy to get in and out of!). Other things that would be nice would be serving utensils that go with the silverware; dishes that are reachable without a step-stool (which I found on the last day); placemats for the table; serving dishes (bowls, platters). The cupboards were high and shelves difficult to reach for me (5'3"), but my 6' husband managed. We felt our dog was welcome.
