Perfect for our three generation family, from 4 months to 83 years. Having everything on one level was very nice especially with the two living areas. The host was so kind and always quick to respond and help planning before and even during the trip!

Check in was very easy. Melyssa was very helpful and replied quickly! The kitchen had everything we needed. Having two separate living rooms was perfect for our family of ten. We enjoyed the Wii. Every room had comfortable beds. There was plenty of hot water for showers and great water pressure. This house was the perfect location! The beach is clean and just steps away! We rented bikes and easily rode to Sol Bowl everyday! The bike path is very close to this beach house. We found the neighborhood to be quiet and family oriented. We will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful stay

Property was perfect for our family. Loved having two living spaces. Deck was large enough for evening gatherings. Everything was clean. Kitchen was well stocked. Really appreciated the extra touch with kids' books and beach toys. 10/10 recommend!

30+ YEARS IN EI AND THIS HOUSE WAS GREAT

Super location and house was well equipped. Owner was very responsive when needed and he went out of his way to send back a DVD that was left in his player. Ceiling fans in every room guarantee you will not be hot overnight. Well equipped kitchen as well as condiments. The living room without the kitchen got the most action as the couch can accommodate more people. Both TV's are ready to have you log in your favorite streaming channels. Use the Roku channel to show how long you are staying and it will log you out of all your channels after you leave. There is a Shibumi in the garage for the beach.

Idyllic week- best beach week ever!

The property had a wonderful layout, beautifully decorated and the most complete kitchen equipment for making family meals. Was able to unpack and immediately enjoy the beach. Wonderful location, love being right on the beach and plan to come again soon.

A Great Place to Stay

Melyssa’s property was perfect for our family stay. It was especially well equipped for our 5 month old granddaughter. The house was clean, convenient and ready for us when we arrived. Melyssa was very responsive and helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend her house for a stay on Emerald Isle.

Terrific place

The house was much larger than we thought and was very clean and comfortable. The location was great location. We would definitely rent again. The only thing I did not like was that the town allows trucks to pull onto the beach to fish. Never quite understand why you would want trucks on a beautiful beach.

Great location beautiful home

This house was perfect for our fall week at Emerald Isle. The large deck and easy access to the beach made it easy to enjoy sunrises, sunsets, and as much time as we wanted in the sand. The kitchen was spacious, well-stocked and well-designed — a pleasure for people who enjoy cooking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Relaxing stay

We spent a week at this property in late June. The location cannot be beat. Even with neighbors on both sides, the house was very quiet. Being a few steps from the beach was a huge perk. Melyssa responded to any question quickly. The layout of the house is great, with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, and two separate living spaces. Nothing we couldn’t find in the kitchen for cooking. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect, amazing place

Our family reunion of 3 brothers and 2 sisters and their spouses was truly perfect! We all flew or drive in from Florida, Kansas City, Buffalo and Pennsylvania. We highly recommend the Ultimate Dunes! Everyday we woke up and pinched ourselves while we looked out at the rolling waves of the ocean and sat on the deck or wandered down to the water just steps away. A little windy but with the Shibumi provided we sat in the shade regardless of the wind. The Shibumi was easy to put up and take down!!! Everyone had them! Even though it called for rain everyday we had no rain just awesome sunshine! Melyissa and her crew was truly there for us with any questions! The one service need we had was met quickly by her friendly maintenance helper Rob. The home is updated and tastefully decorated! The privacy of each bedroom and the multiple baths was so great. The two living rooms made for plenty of room to read a book or gather for some fun games! We bought express charades, played a few other games and laughed a lot! The kitchen was well stocked and gathering around the large dinner table inside or the patio picnic table overlooking the beach was fantastic. Enough said…we will be back!

The Ultimate Vacation

Our stay at the vacation beach house 'The Ultimate Dune' was incredible! The ocean-front location made it so easy for our kids and grandkids to freely come and go to the beach. Endless days were spent going into the ocean, walking the beach and building castles in the sand. The house was very comfortable, and had everything we needed to enjoy family meals and entertain the kids. The hosts were very responsive and beautifully maintain their beach vacation home. Thank you!

Had a wonderful time at the Dune! The layout worked great for the whole family to be together and to spread out as needed. Everything was clean, beautifully decorated and the ocean views were outstanding. We look forward to staying there again.

Time of our lives!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ultimate Dune and Emerald Isle. The furnishings were top notch and the kitchen was fully stocked. We appreciated many of the finer appointments that the owner had taken to make our stay more comfortable. We could not have been closer to the ocean and while we didn't need it, there was an assortment of beach stuff at our disposal. Having stayed at various beach houses for nearly 20 years through vrbo, we generally don't stay at the same place twice, but we may make an exception next year for this one.

Duplex --> Large house Stay

As they describe, this is a former duplex converted into one rental, with lots of recent renovations. As such there are some quirks, but it is a great place to stay. There is a large deck and picnic table that we enjoyed using. It has a great location, in a "neighborhood" rather than on a main drag. It is within walking distance of a pier, and close to shopping. We loved having two living rooms, one for adults and one for the kids. One of the bedrooms doesn't have a tv or dresser but we made due. There is a white couch in the living room that seems designed more for kids (with games and video games), but were afraid to let the kids in there due to the risk of stains. There was an issue with the dryer not working but the owner replaced it with a new dryer.

Beautiful Home on a Beautiful Coast!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The house was very clean and well-stocked. Melyssa was super responsive about questions. Not to mention, the oceanfront views can’t be beat. Emerald Isle is a small town and the beach never got too packed which was great. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and stay here again!

Perfect ocean front view

Property was accurate to the listing and clean. We really enjoyed our time and being able to walk out directly onto the beach and have meals or coffee out on the back deck overlooking the view. The beach wasn’t crowded and the town was quaint and quiet. Melyssa was super communicative and helpful! Highly recommend!
