Relaxing fun in Door County

The Ephraim House is just as impressive in person as in the photos. It's a great size for larger groups, is clean and well-maintained, and has a wonderful open kitchen and greatroom floorplan. Downtown Ephraim is easy walking distance from the house, yet you feel completely surrounded by nature when you are looking out the windows or sitting on the deck. Highly recommend!

Great launchpad for an exceptional Door County adventure.

The home was lovely, and the location couldn't be better. Within walking distance to the bay and Ephraim shops. The home had an abundance of equipment to meet the needs of guests of all ages. I enjoyed biking to nearby Peninsula state park. Our five-year-old grandchildren appreciated the small touches such as the books provided in the bunk bed shelves and the opportunity to create smores on the fire table on the balcony. Erin was an extremely solicitous host who smoothed over any glitches that arose.

The Ephraim House was everything we wanted and more. It was very clean! Short walk to the water. Owners are awesome and communication was A+++++!!! It is equipped with bikes, games, and a Smart TVs. Couldn't have been happier with our stay!

Awesome experience!

This is a great house in a wonderful location. We were 3 generations gathering for a summer get-away so the house was laid out great for all ages. Loved all the water equipment for the beach with fun fire-pit and hot tub in back yard. Erin (the host) was fabulous and even recovered a lost toy by our 3 year old who was thrilled to get it returned to him. We will hope to stay again!

What a wonderful property and owner

We had a lovely week with extended family at this well-located, well-kept, well-equipped and lovely house. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly over text. Best Vrbo owner I have ever dealt with. Zero complaints about anything. Really comfortable and cozy house. They went out of their way to supply a lot of things that usually are not found at rentals homes like lots of couch throw blankets, tissue boxes, baskets to keep your toiletries in, a lily pad, and Tupperware.

Fun-filled family vacation at Ephraim House

Ephraim House worked great for our family of 7 adults and 9-year old twins. The House had everything we needed and more and provided more household supplies than other vacation rentals we have had. Erin was terrifically responsive. The location was close enough to town and beach for easy access on foot or bike but just far enough for peace and quiet and privacy. We found plenty to do in Door County and found Erin's recommendations very helpful: tennis, swimming, renting a pontoon boat, eating out, eating in and much more. Will definitely consider returning next year!

Fantastic from start to finish

I can't say enough good things about both the property and the host. We were eight adults (all family) and the house was perfectly suited for our needs. It's beautiful and incredibly well stocked. It was also the nicest rental house that we've ever utilized. To top it off, Erin was the perfect host. Her communications were timely and informative, and she was in touch with us before, during, and after the rental. Just perfect. All in all, we couldn't offer a more positive review. Just excellent.

Highly Recommend!

This was a great home for our family who were in town for a baby shower. We enjoyed a family dinner prepared by a private chef and the kitchen/dining room were perfect, with everything we needed! We loved the location of the home - close to 42 but surrounded by trees, giving us privacy and quiet. It rained a bit, but we were able to enjoy the fire table on the deck one night. The home was beautiful, clean and nicely decorated. Erin was a lovely host, communicating throughout the process to make sure our stay was perfect. This was the BEST experience I’ve ever had with a home rental.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Our group enjoyed a Friendsgiving getaway at this property and had a fantastic time. Everything is exactly as described and Erin was incredibly responsive and communicative. Her instructions on how to access the property were detailed and clear. She even offered to ship a pair of pants that our friend’s son left behind. The house is very comfortable and the kids had a blast in the hot tub and roasting marshmallows at the fire pit. Highly recommend!

Peaceful and Accommodating

This is our 6th year finishing our summer in Door County with our kids, but first on the west side and first with our extended family. We were impressed from the beginning. Erin was communicating with us before the trip, giving us recommendations for activities during, and making sure we had everything we needed. I know the property is on the pricier side, but I will say the quality of the house, accommodations given, as well as the wonderful location, well justify it. If you have children the bunk room was well worth it. And Moms and Dads were able to sneak out into the hot tub as well! Memories formed for our children, fun times around the fire with our family, we will definitely be back.

Breathtaking

I had the privilege to stay in this beautiful home in August 2023. I can say with the upmost authority that the pictures do not lie. This is a gorgeous new build and is well cared for. I specifically was seeking a property with a hot tub for some arthritic relief. This was perhaps the best hot tub I have ever experienced. It was so fantastic that I will be contacting the owners to inquire about the make and model for my own home. What a bonus to have this offered during my stay. I definitely took notes on some fantastic features this home had to offer for my build someday. A great pantry, excellent master bathroom facilities with an outstanding walk-in closet/dressing area. A gorgeous stone fireplace with simple toggle button. I never knew if I could handle an open concept, kitchen, dining, and living area, but this home made a believer out of me. Stunning! Location, location, location! I particularly loved feeling that I was in the middle of a remote woods, but knowing that I was only two blocks (probably less) down a hill, and I was on highway 42. The absolute best thing about this property was the owners. When they say they will provide concierge services, they are not lying. Erin was not only a delight, but an absolute fountain of knowledge. I so appreciated her attentiveness to my questions and suggestions for things to do. Hands-down, the best owners I have ever worked with, and I have worked with some really great ones. I will definitely be back. 5 stars!

Brand new home (2021) and well planned and laid out. Room for our 3 families totaling 9 people with room to spare. Lots of additional things provided: kayak, hot tub, ping pong table, fire pit and more. Exactly as described on VRBO listing. No surprises. Host is easily available through messaging and responds quickly. We did need to do a bit of cleaning when we arrived but nothing we couldn't easily handle.

Simply Paradise

I booked this stay a year ago, looking to plan a trip that is an annual tradition for family. My adult children have recently married in the last 5 years to this year we were sharing our trip with extended family so having a larger location was important. Ephraim House exceeded my expectations in every way possible. The location is walking distance to everything in Ephraim, yet when you walk out any door you are in such quiet nature you barely know there are neighbors nearby. We enjoyed beautiful mornings on the front patio, lively dinners with family on the deck, music and treats by the campfire, and luxurious soaks after all of Door County's outdoor offerings at night. Erin was the perfect host from the point of reservation, all through our stay and beyond. The cleanliness and amenities she offers as a host cannot compare to any rental we've taken in the years we've been coming to DoCo. If you are interested in making magical memories and having the time of your life this is the property to select every single visit. I know we will!

Wonderful Door County Vacation!

The Ephraim House was everything we hoped it would be for our family vacation and more! It was clean, modern, comfortable, and had so many amenities that we were able to enjoy! The location was perfect! It was just a short .5 mile walk to the Ephraim public beach, which is beautiful! Also an easy walk to downtown Ephraim to enjoy restaurants & shopping. We loved using the paddle boards & kayak down at the beach. Our family enjoyed nightly hot tub sessions to unwind after a day of activity, and roasting marshmallows & making s'mores around the fire pit. I was extremely impressed with Erin, the homeowner. She was quick to respond, extremely kind, helpful and accommodating. I was also so impressed with how well stocked the house was.....they thought of every detail and it made packing/traveling easy and stress free! I would highly recommend this home for your Door County Vacation! We hope to stay here again.
