„Arrived to be given a key and parking disc , friendly but nobody overnight at a reception, big room but found it very noisy with the seagulls and road noise as single glazed windows , tap wobbly and no waste cover in shower , should have unplugged the fridge as noisy at night on and off , no plug point near the dressing table so couldn’t see when drying hair , did smell like a greasy spoon !!!“

„Ein wunderbar charmantes Hotel in idealer Lage. Vielleicht wäre ein bisschen mehr Liebe zum Detail angebracht, z.B. regelmäßig Duschgel auffüllen, täglich das Zimmer saugen. But all in all I had a delightful stay and will come again when visiting Scarborough. Thank you, Vicky and Steve“

„Wenn man akzeptiert, dass der Vorhang auch bei geschlossenem Fenster wackelt, und sich warm anzieht, hat man ein stilvolles, typisch englisches Hotel mit sehr bemühtem Personal und hervorragendem Frühstück. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.“

„To tall for the shower I am only 6ft.room was on the small side.miss leading on meals as they was no where at the hotel for meals as the pictures on the advertisement showed .you have to go off site for breakfast.Does not mention this on the advertisement.as I’m disabled it was very difficult to open the door into the room as it was catching on the floor.there was no wardrobe to hang any clothes.“

„Room was not cleaned on 2 days, breakfast quality was good but service disorganised, was 1st into Breakfast last to be served. Another room was broken into in middle of night, police also had to attend following night. This was my third staying at the Waves, last 2 years excellent but this year was very poor, have cancelled booking for next year. Two other couples who have been staying each year also not booking for next year. A real shame the change from last year “

„Compared to other hotels in Scarborough this one is a good choice. A friendly and professional welcome, a nice view, a large room. The downsides are the room is directly situated above the bar & garden which has customers drinking, laughing and yelling till midnight. Food is ok, but not great. The friendly receptionist is also a very good escalation manager and took the parking fee off the bill to make up for the noise.“

„A great little place to stay. Right in the middle of where you want to be with free parking on the surrounding streets. Very friendly place and done out nicely whilst retaining the character of the property. Very quiet with comfy beds. I even got an ice bucket for my milk! Adam is very helpful, putting a fan in the bedroom. Will definitely be back.“

„Had a very nice stay here. It is the first time we stayed. We had a larger room. It was very clean & newly decorated, such a bonus. For the price it was excellent, would recommend it. Staff were friendly. It was a good location for the town. Meals available, we did not use the these facilities, so carn't comment. We would stay here again. “

„Just back from a three night stay in this lovely hotel. We chose Palm Court because of its location and its residents car park, this is a covered car park a just round the corner from the main entrance. Check in was quick and simple. Our room (No 31) was very nice, it was on the corner of the building with windows overlooking the front of the hotel and the multi story car park to the side. „I think the hotel is either new or newly run as they seem to be finding their feet. Check-in was 3pm to 4pm and when I called to say I might be around 6:30, I was told "it's only hour and a half from Manchester" and "there might not be anyone here after 5pm". It felt a bit abrupt in all honesty but when I arrived around 5:30 (Friday school holiday traffic), they were pleasant enough.
