This place exceeded my expectations! The sea and sunset views from the balcony are gorgeous, just a walking distance to the beach. The kitchen has everything you need, the bed is comfortable, and the quiet neighborhood is a haven. The hot tub is fantastic!

Horrible communication with possible gas leak

Its location is beautiful. House fit our large family well. We loved the hot tub. With that being said...the negligence of Vacasa towards the welfare of my family was absolutely unacceptable. As soon as we opened the door we were hit with a terrible smell. We had a gas leak several years ago and it smelled very similar. So i contacted vacasa #on the door. They told me they would get in touch with the local contact there to check it out. They told us to vacate the property until then. Despite a 10 hr drive and it being dinner time for our kids, we walked around the beach waiting to hear from them. Nothing. I texted 4 more times to them and also the direct line to the local contact. It was 46 hrs before someone came to look at the property and contact me. In the meantime we kept the windows open ...which is quite cold in oregon. I dont know if it was gas, or possibility sewer smell since the toilet was plugged upon arrival. But the fact i told them we suspected gas, 2 of my kids had headaches, and they did nothing but respond hours later that they would contact someone. Telling 7 people to vacate the property with no resolution. Putting a family at possible risk. Turning my vacation into more worry than necessary. Also the dryer has no logical way to turn on. It would turn itself off or not dry. We left clothes draped over chairs...which didn't dry. Also killed a mouse with a pool stick in the basement. The basement stairwell smells so gross we only went down once.

40th birthday stay

We had a wonderful stay at this coastal VBRO! I brought my sister and my 17-month-old son, and the house was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The yard was spacious and peaceful—such a great spot to unwind while listening to the soothing sound of the ocean. The home itself was beautifully maintained, well-stocked with everything we needed, and offered plenty of space for lounging and spending time together. Highly recommend for families or anyone looking for a serene escape by the water.

There were a few problems but nothing that couldnt be fixed. All in all a good house in a good locations but maybe booked too much over the holidays. Some cleanliness issues and old or sparce kitchen supplies.

Love the location. Cool little house.

Had no complaints besides the garbage disposal was not working and it was posted with a notice not to use. Also the microwave was not warming up food. Other than that this place is in a great location and a pretty awesome house. We wouldn't mind staying there again.

Fishing Trip

My friends and I were in Oregon for a fishing trip out of Gold Beach. Perfect quiet location with access to the beach and great view of the ocean and spectacular sunsets. Close to the market, gas stations and other services in Gold Beach. Definitely would stay here again.

A little piece of paradise

The house was great! We enjoyed going to the beach nearly every morning for a nice run or walk at low tide. As you enter the beach, if you go to your right about a 20 minute walk, there are some really good tide pools in the morning. At high tide, there are some really good breakers a few yards out that a few of us were crazy enough to jump into. Very fun, but very cold! The hot tub was perfect to recover from that outing. The wifi was great, especially as we liked to gather around and stream TV shows at the end of the night together. One night we hosted an online LAN party. A couple of us found the lighthouse puzzle and worked on that on and off throughout our stay. Everyone ended up contributing at least a couple of pieces. Most nights we cooked dinner together - the nice stove made that easy. There were also some great restaurants we enjoyed eating at. It was a beautiful week together with the family that we will remember for a long time to come. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Good location but not the home away from home I wanted

Major selection factors were not available: no carafe for the drip coffeemaker, hot tub non-functional, gas fireplace didnt seem to work. Decor seemed more geared toward families with small children or college dorm feeling. Bedding left much to be desired. Property managed by 3rd party vendor which has a more corporate, less personal feel.

Vacasa has been VERY difficult to deal with

Our stay: July 20th- July 25th The house itself was nice, except for the stove that stopped working the 2nd day of our 5 day stay and NEVER got fixed, I'll explain later. Third level: The house has a very spacious master bedroom with a large walk-in closet, which was nice. Only cons were the large windows towards the top of the vaulted ceiling let in SO much sunlight into the room at 6am, it was hard to sleep past sunrise and the bedroom door would never stay shut. The loft area has a twin size bed and nice viewing area. There's enough room to put down an air mattress for extra sleeping arrangements, which is what we did for our kids. Second level: This is where the living room, kitchen, laundry room, bathroom and other two bedrooms are. There's seating for 6 at the table and two at the kitchen counter which is nice for a larger family. It's all open space with the living room so it wasn't too difficult to hold conversations from the kitchen table and others sitting on the futon couches. Kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary dishes, utensils, pots and pans, cookie sheets, etc. They had a microwave, toaster oven, rice cooker, small crockpot, blender, and air pop popcorn maker. The two bedrooms were decent size and had larger closets and dressers. There's a bathroom located between the bedrooms, which is the only other bathroom in the house besides the master bathroom on the 3rd level. Outside the 2nd level is a wrap around deck with the jacuzzi, which for us was the main reason we selected this house. Who doesn't want to relax in a Jacuzzi and watch the ocean shores and the stars at night? It was nice, especially at night with the lights on that change colors. We had some very windy days during our stay, so depending on your tolerance, you may not last long with the cold wind in your face, lol. The lower level is the 3 car garage, which we let the kids run around in since it's connected to the recreation room (there's plenty of parking space outside.) We also played some family games down here, it would be nice if they had some foldable chairs and foldable table to use for card games and such. The rec room has a foosball table, small pool table, little putting green, and an older tv with older VHS tapes. There's only this tv and one tv in the living room, which ended up being ok for us, but if your family likes to watch a bunch of TV, you might need to bring a laptop or other devices. Overall this would have been a 5 star stay for us if we hadn't had unresolved problems that were very impactful. When we arrived there was a note saying one of the burners on the electric stove wasn't working, but after our first night there, the stove stopped working completely. I immediately contacted Vacasa and let them know about the issues and they said they would be in contact with the local office. I did not hear from them until the next day, which was very disappointing. We had already purchased all of our groceries for our stay, we have a large family so we needed to be able to cook, eating out is so expensive. Day 3 someone from the local office reached out and said they had a brand new stove to install but they were struggling to find someone to come install it and they would get back to us. Day 3 passed and still no way for us to cook. I kept reaching out, as you could imagine this was a very frustrating situation. The evening of day 4 they finally got someone to come install the new stove, but it didn't work either, seems they have an electrical problem. They said they'd try to get an electrician out, but our last day passed and we never heard back from anyone about the electrician and they no longer returned my call to give any update. So, this was not a good first experience with VACASA. I'm still trying to contact them to get compe...

Overall the unit is in a beautiful location and was well kept. However, the living room and dining room furniture was VERY uncomfortable. There were signs of pet hair, and this was supposed to be a NO PET unit. There was plenty of cooking items and everything was very clean. There was plenty of linens and the beds were comfortable.

Beautiful house with a beautiful view.

We stayed in the house for a week and loved it. The reality far exceeded our expectations. The views were wonderful, and a practically deserted beach on the doorstep. The beds were comfortable, the property was spotless and spacious. Cooking equipment was decent - although the knives could be sharper and we never did find the advertised coffee grinder. The ping pong table was a big hit and the vast collection of movies fun to browse. The only weirdness was finding the washer and dryer had notes on them saying they were broken - a call to the rental office ascertained that it was in fact only the auto stop on the dryer that wasn't working, and we just had to put the timer on. We had a great time and would highly recommend this rental.

Super for families!

We loved this location being so close to the beach but with some relief from the wind too. A nice quiet neighborhood, lovely little summer garden, grill, and a kitchen with all the fixins. We didn't miss a thing...it had it all!

Great Location

The house was clean and neat. It was loaded with all the amenities and creature comforts of home to make the stay enjoyable. Was surprised that we had a big container of shampoo and conditioner! I have long hair so the little baby samples you get in hotels just don't cut it for me! Love the fact that you provided ample towels. A must for families with kids!
