« First family vacation and we had a blast »

« This is our second year staying at this cabin, this year being our honeymoon, and we couldn’t say enough good things about this place! If you like swimming, hiking, fishing, rock hunting or anything else outdoorsy, you’ll love this location! Such a cute cabin with the coolest history. We love having no service and just being able to take all the nature and beauty in. This year our car broke down the last day and the management was so understanding of our situation. I would recommend this place...

« We had a good time during our stay here. There was a little noise from the road but the cabin is very close to US23 so that is to be expected. Cabin was laid out well, and the beds were comfy and clean. It is a rustic cabin with modern amenities and it fit the bill for our stay.Would definitely consider this location again for future trips up to the East Tawas/Oscoda area. »

« Every time we are at Barefoot Beach we instantly relax. It is actually hard to leave! Great facilities, beautiful beach, we have fun sitting by the bonfire. Well worth staying there! »

« Very clean and cute! Owner was friendly and prompt in handling all of our concerns.Recommend to bring a fan or two in summer: the upstairs rooms were not air conditioned. Kitchen spices seemed a little old and pepper was not provided. Water pump doesnt keep up with a long shower and my teen-age daughter was taking a shower when the water stopped suddenly. After waiting a minute or so, water came back on. My husband and i did not have that isssue with our showers. Downstairs bed mattress was...

« Very cute place, nicely decorated. Very clean except couch was sandy so was the bed. We stayed in #9. The porch is unsafe. Very small you can step off the side or front on either side of steps, if you are not careful. You cannot see the lake from #9. You can walk out down a small sidewalk, onto the sand, then down to the lake. Very peaceful by the water. #9 is close to the main road US23. With the door open and screen closed. The traffic was loud. If I stay again I will ask for front place...

« Overall, this is a great place to stay. Close to town, modern, bring a swifter though. We stayed in cabin 5. Beds were comfortable. My 5 year old son loved it. His cousins loved the indoor pool. Great getaway would definitely stay again. »
