« For a late summer Tahoe trip with friends, this place was perfect. It’s close enough to walk to the beach and restaurants but set back enough to only hear woodland sounds in the morning. « Lazy Bear Lodge is a great West Shore place for summer activities; ideal for spending days at Meeks, Chambers, or heading up to float the Truckee. Kitchen had everything we needed. The front seems pretty hemmed in by the neighbors but the back of the property opens up to the woods. We got to see a bear and her two cubs roll past one evening which was exciting for the kids.
