We had a wonderful stay. Jerusalem is a fabulous city. The apartment was in a fabulous location. It had great amenities and was an easy walk to so many wonderful places-the Old City, Kotel, Ben Yehuda Street, the windmill, Tachana HaRishona, etc. Overall, it was an amazing experience. We are grateful to the hosts for being so responsive.
it is a dive. the furniture is decrepit, dirty sofa with cushions torn open, host hard to get to, no instructions on how to use their equipment (refrigerator was turned off and by the time we found out and figured out where the fuse was we lost most of the food we ahd purchased). first the owner offered us a better location for more money as he just had a cancelletion!. not having yet seen this place we refused. after threatening to expose him he offered a better apartment down the road on Thursday afternoon. By that time our kids had already left for home (they live in israel) and it was too onerous for them to return for more than the last day of the holiday. the new appartment was nice but aslo had stuffed sewers flooding the bathrooms. Isrentals tries to rent apartments without having people receive you and show how to use the electric and the plumbing all on line it does not work when you are a foreigner and unfamiliar with israeli utilities. In short it was a ruined holiday.
Consumer beware: king David 10 is not worth $25 a day. it needs refurbishing and new furniture. the bathroom is low and tiny and honestly quite disgusting.
Due to a water leak is rentals, Is rentals changed our apartment two weeks before our trip. They sent pictures ahead of time and were very good to work with us. The new apartment was located on a haneviim street And we actually loved the location. There was a fun atmosphere with many shops and restaurants.
