Had a great stay. The house was relatively clean. Could fix small items like covers to sockets and large chips in the counters but didnât affect our having a nice time. Could have used more towels and kitchen items. Pool had issues but owner responded within reason and tried to fix the issue. The BBQ was unusable but we came prepared after reading other reviews. If you bring your own cooking equipment and bowls youâll have what you need.
House was really beautiful. Clean, well maintained, nicely furnished, and very comfortable. It had everything we needed for our short stay in Joshua Tree. Property manager provided all of the information we needed for both check in and check out. Conveniently located just a short drive to both the âdowntownâ area as well as the national park. Lovely view of the desert from the back patio. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
The house was perfect, exceptionally clean and comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with necessities. Wonderful having 3 bedrooms to give the kids a little room to spread out. Our family felt at home here, and we enjoyed the quietness of the neighborhood at night. Great location! Communication with the host was immediate. We didnt have any issues that needed addressing, but we were checked in on every day to ensure a smooth and efficent stay.
Mixed feelings about this particular property. On the good side: great location for exploring Joshua Tree, great views of surrounding location, quiet, comfortable beds, good layout, nice hot tub. On the bad: Description of provided supplies was misleading. No coffee filters, tiny two-cup sized coffee pot, no cooking oil as promised, minimal TP and paper towels provided, no laundry soap, which is unusual when a washer is provided and is spendy for guest to buy, only 4 supper plates even though house can sleep 8, and rickety pans and cupboards. The lovely outside covered porch was filthy to the point where we couldn't sit on furniture, charcoal grill provided was very old and left filthy after prior use. When I messaged host to ask about anything, it took 24 hrs to get any reply, by which point we'd had to resolve issues on our own. If all you need is a comfortable, convenient place to lay your head at night, then this is great, but just don't expect the gourmet, elegant experience that's suggested by the pictures and property description.
Highly recommend this home... host was very quick to respond and very helpful. The home itself is exactly as pictured, comfy and clean! I had the most amazing stay, and it's close to so many places & things to do!!!!
The house was very nice and very clean. It is in the perfect area right outside of Joshua Tree and even though there are houses next to it, they are not too close and the backyard doesn't have fences and opens up into the desert. The hot tub and fireplace were also great night activities. The only real issue that we ran into is that the TV was not working, and we never received any real help for it when I reached out. Normally that would not have been a big deal, but our group was really looking forward to watching the first game of the World Series there. So, as long as you are not planning on watching a big event on the TV, this house is perfect for heading into the park and the town to check out the area.
Spacious and comfortable house with beautiful southern views
We have stayed in a few different Vrbos in JT and were drawn to this one by the secluded nature of the neighborhood. It did not disappoint - no neighbors to the south means unobstructed views and the feeling of being alone with the park.
Add to that a great set of amenities (fire pit, grill, hot tub, and pool), and we would recommend this property to anyone visiting the area and looking for a home base between hikes.
One note - the pots, pans, utensils, and knives are a little spare, so if you love to cook, plan accordingly.
This home was lovely and super convenient. The communication from the host was spot on. There was ample space for our family of four and we were very comfortable - great AC, and furnishings. The only thing I might suggest if you plan to rent this home is to consider the size of meals you want to cook and potentially an extra pot/pan. There are pots and a pan there, but if you want to make a bigger meal requiring more space (like two large pots for pasta/sauce etc), you may want to bring one.
This property was very nice. Very well stocked with all you need. Beds were very comfortable which is the most important aspect of a rental. We loved how the house was decorated. So simple and pretty. The only things that would have been nice would be dressers in the bedrooms and more pillows. There wasnt any place to unpack clothes, but that is a minor inconvenience. I would definitely stay here again. The town of Joshua tree has really good restaurants for such a small town.
My teenaged son and I enjoyed our stay here. Was very quick to access the entrance to the national park, and the property was clean and comfortable. View off of the back was really nice, with good outdoor seating. Hot tub under the stars was also nice!
This is a beautiful, comfortable home. We found it easily in the dark when we arrived very late in the evening and Laura's entry system was easy to use. It was spotlessly clean and exactly as pictured. We were only a few minutes away from Joshua Tree Nat'l Park and, after a day of hiking and exploring, enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub in this very quiet neighborhood. We got to do some star gazing from the back yard and even made smores around the fire. Luckily we brought mostly pre-made food from home because dining options nearby were limited and cooking supplies in the kitchen were sparse (only 2 small pans, 2 pots and no baking sheets or serving trays, few cooking utensils like large spatulas/spoons). The master bath drain was so slow we couldn't use that shower and a couple of the adirondak chairs out back looked damaged/unsafe but there were only 4 of us so we had enough to sit on. The front bedroom didn't seem to get as warm as the others so after 1 night of sleeping in separate rooms, our kids ended up sleeping together in the 2 twin bedroom, which they didn't mind.
We really appreciated having the garage to park in since there was rain in the forecast but we ended up getting lucky with the weather.
Overall, the home was wonderful and very comfortable. Loved the beds and cozy soft sheets and the views of the desert from every room. Laura was very communicative and helpful, a very gracious host.
It was a beautiful, clean property with a great view, nice fire pit and spa. My only complaint was the slow emptying tub shower in the main bathroom which necessitated standing in several inches of water while showering, as well as the need for a new valve in the shower. I did inform them upon leaving and imagine they took care of it. It was really easy to find and close enough to the main road that it was okay that we arrived after dark. Well appointed and beautiful setting. Would definitely stay there again! P.S....bring a telelscope!
Very spacious and very clean. Communication was good and easy with host. Bed was comfy. Kitchen is a great space but could use some additional pots and pans, dishrags, dish towels. The back patio was really nice. Would stay here again.
Check in process was very simple, contacted Laura due to a change in our original plans and she was very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend
Wow this listing really surpassed our expectations it, it's so wonderful! Beautiful decor exactly like the photos, super clean and comfortable, plus so peaceful and quiet. Super close to restaurants and nature spots too, and even comfortable for us to work remotely. We can't wait to be back and will definitely recommend this to our friends. I'm inspired to make my own place as lovely and well kept now ha! Thank you
