« Des gens charmants, bon lit, petit-déjeuner convenable, mais chambre gelante, pas de radiateur dans la salle de bain, peu de débit d'eau, pas d'espace pour les touristes au rez-de-chaussée hormis le matin lors du petit déjeuner. Dans un village près de Keswick, mais pas à Keswick. Dans ces conditions, assez cher. »

« I cannot fault this property. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room was clean and fresh to a great standard of decoration (much like the rest of the hotel) and the breakfasts were delicious. We will definitely return when we stay in the Lakes next time. »

« Kettle in room was dirty brown yellowy in the bottom asked for it to be cleaned to be told it had been cleaned so was unable to make a brew in the room. Breakfast was ok although fried egg was not cooked properly very snotty. Boiled eggs uncooked today. The woman had bad attitude the way she spoke to guest blunt and rude. Would not stay here again. »

« I stayed for two nights (Friday & Saturday) at Craglands Guest House in June 2026.
The host, Eldon, was very friendly, helpful and hospitable. The rooms are clean, spacious and the beds are perfect for a pair of weary trekker legs at the end of the day.
The guesthouse is a stone’s throw (4 min walk) from a pub which was great for the football. Keswick town was around 15/20 mins walk or an easy 5 min drive - perfect location for any stay you’d like to plan in the area.

« Beautiful house and gardens. Room was excellent as was the breakfast. Hazel and her husband work very hard to make your stay special. The local pub has recently changed hands and don't currently have a chef, so if you need food, then plan this on the way as there is nothing within walking distance. :-) »

« Very friendly and welcoming. Excellent breakfasts and generally a comfortable place to stay. Having a guest fridge and being able to heat your own food instead of eating out every evening was a great facility. »
