I, my daughter and granddaughter enjoyed staying here to attend a wedding. It was perfect. The view of the water, ferries, Mt Ranier and Seattle skyline in the distance was an unexpected bonus. The cottage was immaculate. Decorated tastefully and up to date on everything. The gliding chairs were a special treat to sit in to enjoy the view from the porch. We could walk to town and there is a walking path to enjoy the sound. We loved it!
Super clean, beautiful home. Even better than the photos! Great home base to explore the kitsap peninsula and beyond. Kitchen and bathrooms were well outfitted. Nice, comfy beds with high quality linens. Will definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.
The Owners listing is accurate, the pictures depict the overall condition of the property and amenities with no unwanted "Surprises.
There is ample parking for 2 cars behind the property in the alley way. There is "NO" parking on the street in front of the property.
The best part of the property is sitting on the covered porch watching the boats and Ferry. The weekend we stayed at the property had beautiful weather with a little bit of fog in the mornings. We enjoyed being able to walk to the Ferry and the restaurants nearby. The empanada's at the nearby "Argensol Kitchen" Restaurant were really good, very authentic.
We all enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property for a long weekend or short stay.
Details about the trip, door codes and basic information was sent and received +/- 3 days prior to our arrival. It would have been nice to have this information sooner to coordinate travel plans with the Family. We were traveling from Arizona and didn't have access to the internet or a computer for most of the week prior to our arrival.
The view...amazing! We sat on the porch for the majority of the time we were there. Whether it was watching the ferries travel back and forth, seeing the eagles flying around, or catching glimpses of the hummingbird and bunnies in the yard, it was so relaxing.
The neighborhood...very walkable with great places to grab coffee, drinks, food. Don't be surprised to see a couple of deer as you walk around. :)
The house...very clean and well appointed. There were ample towels, kitchen supplies; they even thought of the little things, like boxes of tissues (I can't tell you how many rentals we stayed at that didn't have any tissues to be found) and even some board games.
I would definitely stay here again!
The following are not complaints, just suggestions we'd like to pass on to the owners:
Installing a shade on the side of the porch, to help provide some shade as the sun is rising, would be a really nice touch.
Replacing ceiling lights with fans that have light kits in the bedrooms would help circulate the air.
What a beautiful home with a great view. We had a great time watching the ferries and other vessels. Enjoyed Kingston and it's Christmas display. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.
We were on the island for a wedding. The location was perfect. Our Texas family enjoyed the view of the ferry and Seattle. I would definitely stay again.
The cottage is perfect for 2 couples and could accommodate 2 more people in the twin beds. The kitchen had adequate dishes and cooking pans. We spent a lot of time on the front porch watching ferry traffic and cruiser boats travelling on the sound. We walked to the dock and took the fast ferry(40 mins) into Seattle. We ate pizza at Willy's(very good) and and walked to the ice cream shop. We hiked at Foul Weather Bluff and Ludlow Falls. We also walked the Saltair Beach in front of the cottage.
This was our second visit to this little home. Totally enjoyed our stay. Sat on the new front deck and never tired of the beauty that surrounded us, the entertainment of the boat traffic and wildlife. We even saw an orca and porpoises. We hope to visit this cottage again. Thanks for sharing this amazing property.
They werenât kidding about the view!! Itâs beautiful and fascinating to watch all the boats, ferries and people. The porch on the cottage âŠ. you can easily spend the day relaxing in one of the gliders listening to the waves on the beach. The cottage was nicely set up and comfortable. I would stay there again!
We had an amazing, relaxing family vacation here. The location couldnât be beat. The views were spectacular. We had so much fun watching the boats.
The house was really cozy and felt great. A dishwasher and garbage disposal would have been great though.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience.
This property is a piece of heaven on earth! From the incredible views to the quiet neighborhood and the awesome hosts, everything was perfect and as described. The beds were very comfortable and the hosts made us feel welcome. I would definitely stay again!
This house was very cute and cozy! You get a beautiful view of the sound and can sit on the porch to watch the ferries come and go! The decoration and amenities provided by the owner were wonderful âĄÌ Everything was easy to access and clean overall. My only thing was the shower curtains for both bathrooms were a little mildew-y, but other than that, wonderful place! â„ïž
My family and I stayed at the Kingston cottage for two nights. It is very clean and just as described. We were told we were the first ones to stay since the new deck and cover or installed. They are very nice. Unfortunately it rained on our day there so even though most of the deck was dry it was a little exposed to the weather. Other than that the kitchen was stocked with supplies, there were numerous board games, and everything was very comfortable.
The property management made it easy to check in and also check to see how our stay was going and if there was anything they could do for us while we were there. It was very appreciated. We highly recommend this little house for the comfort and of course for the views.
Second time there. Love the house, area, and views. Beautiful location to watch ferries and walking distance to good restaurants. House is awesome. Perfect place to relax and on great shape
Great location and everything was wonderful. Views are amazing and close to walk to park, marina and restaurants. Love the little wine bar, owner is so nice and knowledgeable. Pictures accurately show the beautiful and cozy spot. Very homey and clean. This will be our first spot to see if available for our next trip.
We stayed at this cozy cottage for a weekend while in Kingston for a memorial service. It met our needs perfectly. It was comfortable, complete with kitchen amenities and close enough to walk to restaurants and coffee shops in the "downtown" area. We enjoyed relaxing in the living room, watching the ferries come and go across Puget Sound, and looking for the outline of Mt. Rainier in the distance. The only downside was the screen door on the front of the house had been destroyed. Not sure what caused that, but we notified the management immediately. We were able to easily walk around the damage while coming and going.
We miss the cozy cottage already! Would love to make a return visit sometime!
