Great location with fantastic staff, room is *very* small, and lacks ammenities compared to what i expect, there's just hand soap and that's it. Not sure if this is normal or not, but every hotel I've been too has had toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, tea making facilities etc. Was kinda a bummer because it meant I had to go buy big bottles that I could only use once or twice.

Property is old but clean. Mountain view spectacular. Staff are great. My shower stall very small. Close to train station, but hotel on a hill. Loved my stay.

We were really relaxed with the calm atmosphere and friendly staffs. They give us the picking up and down service from and to Wengen station on checking in and out. Breakfast is fresh and rich in variety.

Very nice hotel with great views of mountains and valley, right in front yard. Great breakfast with a lot of options, room is very clean and quiet, also spacious for 3. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good place to stay in Wengen.

Can't do better!
What a wonderful stay in Wengen. The hosts were kind, professional and warm. The room was what we needed. It was perfect for 2. The view was amazing and such a great location. We were thrilled. We moved on Murren for the night and wish we had stayed here again.

Superb choice in Wengen
On a recent 2 week trip through Switzerland my husband and I stayed in multiple hotels and enjoyed our stay at Alpenruhe in Wengen the most. We were there for 4 nights and the room and the service was excellent. The hotel has the design and feel of a well kept “non-touristy” Swiss chalet. The attention to detail was above average, the beds were very comfortable, and the staff was especially helpful with providing transportation to and from the hotel (good with large luggage but not needed for the 10 minute walk into the town center or train station if you don’t have mobility issues). Their included breakfast buffet is outstanding - hot eggs to order, cereals, breads, juices, hot drinks, and multiple platters of fresh fruits, vegetables, cheeses, etc. Wengen is a wonderful car-free village with easy access to regional sights and hikes by train or gondola. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

The perfect stay!
Wish we could stay here longer! We loved the location, vibe, service, and comfort of Hotel Alpenruhe. The views and location are truly better than the photos you'll see online. Wengen is the perfect home base to explore the Lauterbrunnen/Jungfrau area with convenient access to the rest of the towns. Would definitely stay here again.

The Alpenruhe is incredible. Traditional from the outside and modern in the lobby. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great . Easy to get to with a perfect location. Highly recommended

The views from the Hotel are majestic. The breakfast was good but not great. Service is ok. The rooms are very small and congested. No A/C in rooms.

We offer a well-stocked fresh breakfast buffet with local products and homemade jams, fresh breads and rolls, local alp cheese and alp butter, depending on the season fresh Birchermüsli or fruit salad, as well as fresh eggs prepared to order. But the emphasis is clearly on the quality and origin of the products than on a huge selection. We are anxious to fulfill all wishes of our guests. But the wishes must be expressed, otherwise we can not fulfill them. A/C are unusual in the Alpine region and have not really been necessary so far. There are only a few days a year that are really hot. And nights are usually so cool that you can just open the window overnight to cool down the room.

Love - The staffs - very very friendly!!! The public area - design is very cute and homely with Nordic vibe. The view. The breakfast was served with heart. Okay - the room is on the smaller side but we understand you are paying for the view.

This hotel was incredible. It was beautiful, historic, and had great views. The breakfast was amazing and the friendliness of the staff was the icing on the cake. My boyfriend and I wanted to stay longer. I highly recommend, especially for couples.
