« We stayed at Happy House in Roedean for a few days in mid-November. It was a terrific experience. The house is beautifully placed, about a mile and half away from Brighton Town centre. This gives the home a sense of apart-ness whilst being in easy reach of the town. The house is tastefully decorated and features everything that one would need for an excellent stay, including parking. It also benefits from unspoilt views of the sea. »

« Absolutely amazing place to stay. Ten minutes from the front and town. Loads to do on the south coast. And the holiday let it’s self well what can I say but it’s perfect. Set on top of a hill with views for miles, quiet even though a working farm. Pigs and chickens to make you smile. « That's what we called it - the house of the seven dwarfs. However, don't be held back by the "dwarf" part - it's not tiny! It is just extremely cosy, cute, and elegant. Vintage, yet certainly not outworn. An extremely pleasant experience for those like us, coming from the modernism of the city who want to find some peace, quietness and family-feeling. « We really enjoyed our stay at Swallows Nest. The cottage is spacious, light and well equipped. We enjoyed the countryside, local walks and of course the swimming pool, the steam room and the lovely garden. Chris was very helpful making the booking and check-in very smooth. « We really enjoyed our stay. Our grandson loved playing in the garden. It was a really safe enclosure with lots for him to do ( especially the trampoline) The house was within walking distance to East Preston beach which is a lovely little pebble beach that was never busy. There are plenty of amenities within walking distance in the village ( shops, cafes etc) The house is really nice and well equipped. « There are 2 sides to this review. The down sides were unfortunately the property was not clean enough. The remote controls, light switches, kitchen cupboards etc. were very dirty (all the areas where covid would be rife). I had to clean some of these myself. Also there was a cheese wrapper in the bedroom and lego on the dining chair which says to me it wasn't cleaned thoroughly.
