This cabin was beautiful at the end of a quaint neighborhood on a paved mountain road within walking distance of the main road through Maggie Valley, with a restaurant/brewery and pancake house at the end of the walk. We had a group of family stay here for a memorial, and the house easily accommodated all of us with a beautiful central gathering space in the open kitchen & living room with two story ceilings looking out on a huge comfortable deck and trees and mountains. We had everything we needed to be able to cook and keep snacks as well, plus a complimentary smores kit and wood for the outdoor fireplace on the second beautiful deck out back, which opened onto a fenced-in private back yard on the hill with soft grass and just woods behind the house. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were updated and cozy, and water stayed warm even when both showers were being used and someone was doing dishes! There is a bit of a climb up the driveway and side hill around to the entrance on the back deck, which was a little difficult for our elderly father, but there is also an entrance through the garage if family is fine with stairs inside instead of the hill. We wouldn't have even noticed the hill if we didn't have him traveling with us. We had our details ahead of time to be able to plan ahead for drive time based on where we were staying comparatived to distance to other local family and friends, which was such a kind addition! We will stay here again when we travel to the Valley.
