Our family had a wonderful stay here this summer! We usually stay in Crosslake on the chain, but when we found this place, we couldn’t pass up giving it a try! With three littles under 3, the sand beach and proximity to the beach without stairs (right out the back door!) was ideal! The lake was quiet most days and had great fishing! The cabin was very well stocked (especially the kitchen), great seating options for all inside and outside, and the owners were very responsive with a small issue we had our arrival day. Lots of wildlife sightings everyday which was fun! We brought our boat, and had great space to tie up on the dock for the week. The dock is so nice and felt safe/secure for grandparents and littles. We spent a lot of time outside and in the sunroom and screened in porch overlooking the lake! We can’t wait to stay again!

Rare Gem

One of those rarest of rare lakefront locations that has a sandy beach and the house is level with the water (no steep stairs)! The owners are so thoughtful, they have thought of every detail. From Roasting sticks for marshmallows to a pump for your floaties!

Little piece of heaven at Maui

We have stayed at the cabin before. Every year we just enjoy it more and more. It has everything we need. We always enjoy seeing the latest updates. It works for our big family and we love it. You will not be disappointed. Thanks for always sharing your cabin with us.

Family Vacation 2019

This home on the lake is amazing!! Step out to beach area and close to water. Spacious and beautifully decorated! The layout was perfect for our three families. We utilized the porch/sunroom for the kids play area. All the amenities you need with well equipped kitchen. Washer/dryer are new. Fire pit was used in evening for s’mores. Beautiful deck with large table for outside eating. Shopping areas close. Fishing great! Owners extremely friendly and answered all questions in timely manner! Thank you for a fabulous time by sharing your cabin with us!!

What more can you ask for?!!!

The rental experience with owners was top notch. Cabin’s decor was lake themed throughout and done very well. The walk out access to the beach was so convenient I can’t say enough about having the lake close to the cabin and yet having plenty of beach area for everyone. Lake was clear water and low traffic which made it so easy for us to enjoy swimming, tubing and fishing. We had no complaints about our experience and loved every minute we spent at the property. You will too!

Down to the smallest detail

This cabin is owned by a couple who have your stay at heart. From the soft sheets and thick towels to the thoughtfulness of providing an air pump and s’more sticks. Every detail is seen to. The beach is just steps from the back door- no steep stairway to the lake! Sandy beach with easy access to the clear lake! Couldn’t have picked a better spot for a family vacation. We will be back next year!

Wonderful Family Week at the lake

This cabin is such a gem! Our family enjoys spending the week here together. Beautiful cabin with great amenities. The lake is perfect for relaxing, boating and playing in the sand. Very family friendly! Great updates- dishwasher and the table on the deck! Always exciting to come back and see what new things have been added to the cabin. Great Location for a Week with Kids and Grandkids

We had a great week at Horseshoe Lake with kids and grandkids. The "cabin" is even nicer than advertized -- decorated exceptionally well. The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of space for family to spread out. The beach and dock area is fantastic, and the home and deck are very close to the water -- closer than indicated on the pictures. The large table and umbrella on the deck were an unexpected bonus. The dock had plenty of space to dock the boat. We had so much fun at the beach and boating that we did not fish much, so can't comment on the fishing. Will try to do more of that next year as we have already booked our week for 2019. Rachel was great to work with -- very responsive.

spacius well kept home on great Lake with thoughtful Owners.

Great week at the lake. Family enjoyed lots of water activities including fishing, swimming, water skiing, tubing, knee boarding and paddle boarding. Great floating dock enjoyed by all, Nice lot with great sand beach, and great view. Nice firepit.

Great family vacation!!

We enjoyed the beautiful cabin and amazing lake. This cabin was so well laid out and stocked. It has an amazing beach super close to the cabin making it awesome for families with kids. We loved all the outdoor seating, umbrella for shade, sand toys, dock for fishing and for our boat. We had lots of fun and will be back. The Woitalla Family

A wonderful comfy place!

Wonderful Family Vacation

Where to begin! The home had everything our family needed for a fun, relaxing vacation. The sandy beach and clear lake right outside the door made it easy for the adults and children to have a good time. The grandchildren loved the sand toys provided. They spent many happy hours in the water. You could sit in the sun or in the shade and still be on the beach. The home is beautifully decorated and the beds are very comfortable. Plenty of room for the 8 adults and 5 grandchildren to spread out. The kitchen has everything you need and having another full-size refrigerator downstairs was very convenient. The only thing missing was a dishwasher which wasn't a big deal. We roasted marshmallows every night sitting around the fire pit. We saw Bald Eagles everyday! We had an outstanding time. We hope to be back next year!

Amazing Family Vacation

Wonderful Family vacation...gorgeous house, crystal clear lake!

We had an amazing week at The Little Maui in Minnesota. Rachael and William have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. The house is laid out really nice and was perfect for our large family…8 adults and 5 kids. There were lots of places to spread out and relax. The basement bar area was super convenient-- it was nice to be able to go in and out from the beach to grab drinks and snacks and not have to worry about tracking sand all over the house. We were amazed with the well-stocked kitchen—seriously had EVERTHING we needed. Everything was well organized and we had no trouble finding whatever we needed for cooking our meals. And I cannot say enough about the sandy beach and clear lake – just gorgeous!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful experience working with Rachael and William—we will definitely be back!

We give A Little Maui a 5 star rating! Beautiful home & property catering to all ages.

We had a wonderful relaxing week full of family fun. The house was beautifully decorated and had all amenities. We particularly enjoyed the sandy beach and clear shallow water for the little ones. The firepit with the adirondack chairs was comfy for all. The owners thought of everything, including movies, games and books. We highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation. Great location with Nisswa, Breezy Point, Crosslake & Brainerd close by.

Gorgeous sandy beach and a cabin that exceeded our expectations!

From the minute we walked in the cabin we felt at home! The cabin had outstanding decor and had everything we needed to stay the week! The bedrooms were very spacious and lots of storage for us to unpack for the week. Everyone from the kids to the adults enjoyed laying in the beach chairs and swimming in the clear lake. There was good fishing right off the dock and out on the lake. At the end of every night we enjoyed the bonfire pit. The owners were great to work with and even sent back a shirt with our deposit. Without a doubt I would highly recommend staying at a Little Maui! We look forward to coming back!
