When I walked into the room the first time, it felt and smelled damp. The couches and the rug felt like they'd just been shampooed. The couches are stained from previous spills. I never sat down on them my entire stay. They just looked dirty. The paint on the wall in the bathroom is bubbling off of the wall. When I saw that I knew moisture is, or has been, an issue. I turned the A/C on low and ran the fan in the living area my whole stay, and after a while, the damp smell went away. The bedroom did not feel or smell damp, so I just hung out in there. The kitchen and bathroom walls needed to be wiped down. Using only my finger, I could wipe off some of the spots on the walls. The unit is obviously older, and except for the paint on the wall in the bathroom, it's perfectly fine! The kitchen is renovated, and it's nice. There is a Keurig type coffee maker and a regular one. The measuring spoons in the drawer had been previously used for coffee and were dirty. I didn't use them and put them in the dishwasher when I left. There was no spatula to cook eggs. I bought one and left it there for the next guest. The unit is directly onto the pool, so there's not much privacy during pool hours. It isn't open after dark, so noise isn't an issue at night. There is not a view of the beach from the room. The unit is on the bottom level, but there are a few unavoidable stairs. Beach access is very easy and very close. I went for the beach, so this was perfect for me!
