„typical to the landscape, good parking, lot of stairs inside, good offer at the restaurant“

„Mooi ruim huis. Perfect voor ons verblijf.“

„Insane place to go and stay. Great location. Staff had so many helpful tips. The walks were great. The food amazing. Perfect little adventure hotel that had everything you could want and more“

„Tolle Unterkunft mit netten Mitarbeitern. Die Zimmer sind vom Pub separat. Wir haben Nachts nichts gehört :-)“

„Room was filthy, dust, dirt and cobwebs. Bathroom smelt like poo. Sink leaked. Entire room smelt of damp. Bed atrocious. The pillows were flat as pancakes and very old. Fridge didn't work. Staff friendly.“

„Alles sauber, sehr nettes Personal, Frühstück war sehr lecker - auch Abendessen ist sehr zu empfehlen! Wir kommen gerne wieder :) “

„Pet friendly stay for One night . Clean and comfortable. Didnt have dinner, breakfast very nice , lovely lady serving. Fresh milk delivered first thing in the morning a nice touch. Charge of £25 PER NIGHT for a pet I believe is excessive. £20 per stay seems the average these days . So I suppose £25 per stay would be acceptable for the quality of establishment. NOT £25 per night though !“

„Great location for Matlock Bath illumination. Hotel has an Indian restaurant which was popular but we had already booked elsewhere. The hotel is generally clean and tidy but some aspects of cleaning could be improved. The shower doors and bathroom floor would have benefited from a better clean. Good parking facilities on site and friendly staff. Hotel is a bit tired but places to stay in Matlock bath with parking are limited. All in all, good value for money.“

„Comfortable room, friendly staff. Had pleasant meal one night, and enjoyed cooked breakfast. Spent few hours in pub lounge, great atmosphere. Small point, we were in room 9 which was noisy at night due to extractor fan out side. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.“

„Hübsche, kleine, rustikale Häuschen, in denen die Zimmer untergebracht sind. Die Zimmer sind sauber und gut eingerichtet, allerdings ist das Bad winzig klein und das Warmwasser nur nach einigen Experimenten zu bedienen. Das Restaurant/Pub ist sehr gemütlich und das Frühstück lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig.“

„Nice lounge to relax and read. Breakfast was great quality, lots of choice and good coffee! We booked a private room with ensuite which was in the barn annex. This was basic, but ok, but the heating wasn't working in that building. Soaking wet after 20mile walk. Staff eventually moved us to another private room, 4 bed, in the main building. On arrival at 5pm was told to order dinner before 6.30pm as there was a large group booked in at 7pm. So we did at 6.00pm only to be told the chef was now ...

„Beautiful place to stay. Would highly recommend. Staff were friendly and dinner in the restaurant was so good the first night we went again on our second.“
