Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We celebrated Thanksgiving with our family and was plenty of room, kitchen utensils and pots and pans to cook with. The condition of the chairs and furniture were uncomfortable and in bad shape. We had several mature adults there and recliners and couches would have been really great! When you upgrade your furniture we will come back! Glad to hear you will no longer be pet friendly after this year!!

The beach was not crowded at all. Everything is close by, but we didn’t feel like we were in the center of all the activity. The front porch was my favorite place to be. The house is a bit run down. Some simple updates would make a big difference-better coffee maker, comfortable (clean) living room furniture, for example.

Beds were comfortable. Has all of the kitchen gadgets you would need but again, dated. There are NO frequently used food items like salt/pepper, cooking spray, coffee filters, aluminum foil, etc.

Reviewer Comments: The Garden City Rental folks were very easy to deal with, and there were no problems with the rental experience.The house contains ample dishware and utensils, but there is not much pantry space for food.However, the house was deficient in many aspects. Paint is peeling off the outdoor ceilings. The downstairs's ocean-view Jack and Jill bedroom smells like urine (probably from a dog's earlier presence). All of the refrigerator door guards are broken, so no food could be stored in the door itself, limiting the cold space significantly. The washer upstairs easily became out-of-round (even with light loads) and made a very loud sound like a helicopter was upstairs. The top locks down, so you cannot remedy the wash, only await its self-correction. There are no outdoor spigots or hoses to rinse sand off.These are not deal-breakers, but they tarnish the experience.

It could use a great deal of attention but the value is phenomenal for the location. A few things to take note of: there is not a water hose under the house so it makes rinsing equipment off a bit tedious. There are 3 TV’s as listed but they do not have cable at all. They should add streaming services because the TV are useless. The home has great A/C and wide open views but the lack of window coverings means hot afternoons and blinding sunlight while trying to relax around the dinner table. All in all the house has old charm but definitely needs some TLC .

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the house is nice......but unfortunately we were greeted by the roaches as we entered the house. The roaches seem to be only in the Kitchen area. I contacted the realty company Monday morning 9:am in person to make aware of the problem. Someone visited either Tuesday or Wednesday to address the roaches. Wednesday evening the roaches seem to be worse. I contacted realty company by phone and I was directed to maintenance dept. There seemed to be no urgency because I never heard from or witnessed any spraying on the problem. The dryer does not dry well at all. We fixed the plumbing under the right side of kitchen sink on Monday after it disconnected own it's own. The master bedroom toilet stopped up multiple times, I was able to use the plunger to resolve.The same toilet seems to have a leak it the tank as well. The owners need to invest and update amenities; suggestions would be to place blinds on the kitchen windows. The evening sun was blinding during dinner hours for our guest facing toward that direction. The back porch was awesome, may make part of it screened:) Garden City as a whole is an awesome vacation area. I enjoyed the fact that I didn't have to leave the area and travel in traffic. Local restaurants and businesses with-in golf cart distance. Having the Wal-mart near was also a plus. The beach area incredible.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve been renting this house since 1973 and it’s a gem. The owners have done more than upkeep. They’ve made improvements that increase capacity but retain a relaxing timelessness that is exactly what we need. The quality of the beach in front is excellent. You can hear the waves and see the ocean easily. It is distant from the Pier traffic but the fun stuff is easily accessible. From the deck you can see the light of Murrill’s Inlet - the best seafood in the state. Shopping is a few minutes out on Rt.17. We hope Love’s a Beach never changes.

Overall a good place, just some issues.
