« We loved everything about this ryokan. We were greeted warmly and looked after perfectly. The hotel has a beautiful location and is very peaceful. Spotlessly clean. Spacious room. The food at both dinner and breakfast was just the best and being new to Japan we asked lots of questions and were helped to understand how the food was cooked and that the produce was local as were the recipes. Just delightful in every way. »

« This Ryokan was amazing! It was doable on the trains though it i out of the way of major cities but that is the point. Very relaxing and the osen was amazing. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a traditional experience. Also the food was fantastic!! »

« Staff were great, especially Yoko as she spoke English and was able to help with requests. One source of stress was having to pay in cash if you elect to pay at the accommodation. This should be made clear when booking. We would have happily paid by credit card in advance had it been made clear. No one from overseas carries that kind of cash. The ryokan should be encouraged to adjust their "rule" and take credit cards. »

« Simply wow. the room, top notch japanese food, excellent service , the onsen and not forgetting the secluded location all helped to make our stay unforgettable. The perfect way to end our Japanese adventure. »

« Hotel is about 15 minutes from train station. Check in was straight forward. Price included kaiseki dinner in dining area which features sukiyaki, tempura, sashimi and assorted appetizers. Self serve rice and miso soup. Buffwt breakfast was also included and was very good. Hotel has a public bath. Free sodas, coffee and juice available all day. Tatami room was spacious and had 2 single beds which were firm but comfortable. »

« 1 nuit en demi-pension chambre japonaise vue sur lac, comme en 2018 & 2017. Intérêts : navette gratuite AR/ gare de Kami-Suwa, onsen un peu vieillot. Inconvénients : accueil uniquement en japonais contrairement aux 2 années précédentes, musique d'ambiance un peu crispante, menu du dîner servi en mini salles à manger et surtout identique en 2017, 2018 & 2019. Menu de qualité très moyenne (9 voyages au Japon, cela me permet de faire des comparaisons). Salle de bain privative sombre avec seulement...

« The house itself is beautiful but all around it is extremely badly taking care of. The yard is a mess, the grass high, and just next to some run down green houses. Some kind of a huge computer was making a terrible noise when we arrived, the owner allow us to turned it off thankfully. Could be a wonderful place to stay »
