We were notified the evening before we were to check in, drove over halfway from Missouri, before were told the house was under construction due to another group messing with A/C they were not to mess with and flooded the house. The house manager refunded some of our money due to this element and we moved forward with our say as we had 11 of us and a dog.We had booked last October and made over half the drive already. The power on a wall stopped working, so we ran out and got some extension cords to plug the portable A/C in on different walls. Without them the house got warm pretty quick.There was a bit of an ant problem and we had to throw some of our food away. We went and got some ant bait and it helped.The pool was really the saving grace that allowed everyone a place to play outside while not at the beach or out doing family activities. The house is very spacious, plenty of room for everyone. We loved the kitchen and dining area. Overall the house manager was fairly helpful. Overall we made it work and everyone had a good time. We would definitely stay again especially if the house was not under construction.

This beautiful home was absolutely perfect! Incredibly clean and roomy! This was the best place we’ve ever stayed. We surely could have invited way more people with the size and amount of sleeping arrangements! Will come again next year because this place had everything you could think of including the close proximity of restaurants, shopping and most importantly beach access!

Riddled with issues

When we checked in It was warm out so we went outside to use the pool. It was littered with leaves. As we began swimming, we ran into a dead decomposing mouse. We called Vacasa to report it, sent a photo, and they said they would send someone out that day to remedy it. No one ever showed up. Next day, I called again to report that no one came out and to report now live mice in the lanai/porch area. They said they would send pest control out. No one showed up for the pool nor the pests. On Monday I called AGAIN and the Vacasa rep said that the pool would be cleaned Wednesday., I told them it was absolutely unacceptable and that someone needs to com out that very day. Eventually they put me in touch with the local property manager. The pool company showed up (they found 3 dead mice in the auto skimmer of the pool), and then the pest control guy came to set traps around the perimeter of the home and then the T-rex traps in the lanai. We couldn't use the lanai for the rest of the trip due to the traps being in there (we had our small dogs with us) and the fact that there were likely droppings. The toilet in the master bath was broken so we had to use a different bathroom during our stay. 3 large rats showed up later that week. Extremely frustrating and gross. We would not go back, unfortunately.

Awesome house and great location!

We had 7 adults and 5 kids staying in the house, plenty of room to hangout together and still have separate spaces. The kids loved the upstairs room with bunks. The pool was great and the screened in porch was fantastic. The upstairs could get a little warm during the day, but it does have its own AC and thermometer. There were extra fans that helped. No one was uncomfortable. The first floor has a king bedroom with full bath and half bath off the kitchen. There is an office with a pull-out couch on the main floor. The game room has Foosball and various games. The dinning room has a large table and additional seating in the kitchen. The 2nd floor has a bedroom with 2 queen beds and up a few more stairs is another king bedroom, a full bath, and 2 twin built-in bunks and 2 full size beds. We spent evenings playing games and swimming. During the days, we would head to Navarre Beach and Opal Beach. The water was gorgeous. We had our fair share of snow cones from Sno Balls. We went to Pensacola a few times, Destin once, and rented a boat to go to Crab Island. Honestly, I wouldn't go back to Destin because the traffic was horrible. Navarre Beach is great and there are plenty of restaurants without all the traffic that the bigger beach towns bring. We would definitely stay here again. The property management company was absolutely amazing. You will love your stay here... we sure did!

Vacation Stay

The property was great. Plenty of room for our group of 10. It was a very spacious house and the pool great for the hot days of summer. Although this property is pet friendly we didn’t bring pets with us. You could not tell that animals had been in the house. There wasn’t any smells and no pet hair anywhere. The only issue we had was the trash had not been picked up from the previous renters and yellow jackets were flying around the front entrance.

Great family friendly house

We loved Black Pearl and definitely will be back with the family. Such a relaxing time and a perfect house for entertaining or if you have a big group. Plus it’s convenient to beaches and stores. If you come with kids, the game room is amazing and loaded with things for the kids to do.
