The bottom queen bedroom quilt had blood stains, the main lounge room pillows had stains, the upstairs shower handle was on the floor when we arrived - hard to use. Kitchen needs a Reno. Reviewer Comments: The property is spacious with seperate downstairs area with kitchen. The tv room with large electric chairs was a hit. Unfortunately the cleanliness of most cupboards was poor with mould on some curtains and the windows need cleaning. The kitchen has is equipped with the basics but no food storage containers, no gladwrap, foil, or other basics. The house needs some maintenance attention as well.

The dishwasher is too small for the size of the house and we had no hangers in any of the 5 wardrobes. The washing machine also broke. The house has huge potential but it’s also alittle too far outside town.

Impressive Location

The overall property was great, the lay out of the house is ideal especially for families with kids of various ages, media room was a bonus. Our only concern was the overall cleanliness of the property, seriously wasn't up to scratch for a high end home as it is advertised / needs a thorough clean ... The Property needs some TLC as well , as we had a problem with one of the glass sliding door ( missing screws so frame was coming away from the glass ) and falling curtain rods in one of the bedrooms ... Once some of these issues are fixed the property would be excellent for a family holiday.

The cinema room was fun as well and the outlook was lovely. The house was clean and comfortable. Things the property could use are coat hangers. We couldn’t find any which was annoying. Kitchen basics like foil and cling wrap would have been helpful. We didn’t think we should have had to bring our own coffee pods to a luxury property. Those little extras make a difference when you’re staying somewhere nice. All said, a great experience for everyone.

Beautiful place, with issues

The home is lovely and in a gorgeous location. It is well laid out with plenty of breakaway space. Sadly, there seems to be a lack of attention to the details of the home, and there were a number of issues with general cleanliness. Unfortunately the house was badly appointed and also in need of a lot of maintenance work: for example, issues with plumbing; only one tiny dishwasher to service 10 people; broken media room chairs; curtain rail hanging out of the wall; broken and ill-fitting window blinds; large hole in flyscreen; washer/dryer was smelly and not functioning properly; ill-fitting toilet seat that leaves you sitting on porcelain; zero amenties in the downstairs kitchen, etc. etc. making this a way less than 'luxury' stay. As we didn't want to spend the week with a house full of cleaners and maintenance people we chose to wait until after we left to notify the agent, who was responsive and professional. A previously unmentioned caveat which we found odd was that we were expected to clean the floors before leaving, a surprise particularly given the premium price we paid! The beds were very comfortable, and overall we had a nice family holiday, but our stay was somewhat marred by issues that should have been obvious to any staff that are cleaning the house; or are to do with inadequate fittings/amenties/ill considered policies which could be easily addressed. I hope that our honest feedback will enable the cleaners and owners to make the effort to bring the accommodation up to the ‘luxury’ standard that was promised for the next people who choose to stay at Seascape Retreat – it really is a lovely property that just needs a little care and attention.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I would like to express my disappointment with my recent stay at Seascape Retreat. Unfortunately, the experience fell significantly short of the expectations set by the listing and price point.My group encountered multiple issues during our stay, including:1. Excessive Terms and Bond Requirements The extensive terms and conditions, coupled with an unreasonably high bond, caused unnecessary anxiety throughout the weekend. This impacted our ability to relax and enjoy the stay.2. Hot Water Problems There was no hot water after the first night. We followed the instructions in the welcome pack and activated the hot water booster as directed. Despite this, the system only slightly improved. The terms stating that guests will incur fees for a “wasted call-out” unfairly shift the burden of responsibility. We are not technicians and should not be expected to diagnose or take the risk of managing your infrastructure during a holiday stay. Additionally, facilitating technician visits during a short trip is not reasonable.3. Mold Throughout the Property There was widespread mold, notably on the curtains and various surfaces. This is a serious hygiene and health concern and should not be present in any property advertised as premium accommodation.4. Entertainment System Issues The entertainment systems were not set up properly and lacked basic provisions such as batteries. It took two of us quite some time to get everything working, which was frustrating and not how we intended to spend our time.5. Inadequate Consumables Toilet paper provided between bathrooms was insufficient and of very poor quality. Small details like this, which are typically standard even in basic accommodations, were either missing or noticeably skimped on.While the property was nicely furnished and spacious — which we appreciated — this was the only notable positive. Overall, our stay did not align with the standard pr
