Beautiful quiet spot. Our group spent most of our time outside at the pool or exploring the area. There were extra fans in the rooms and plenty of pool towels. My only complaint will be that the fridge wasn’t cooling properly, but it wasn’t too much of an issue since we ate out most of the time. The location is great if you want privacy. Everything we wanted to do wasn’t a long drive. Starz cafe was our spot to eat. They have great food and service.

It was only OK

Let’s start with the positives. The decor was pretty cute, lots of games nice furniture beds were comfortable. Dear hanging out in the yard. Just skipping a jump to all the good places. Now for the cons….. The pool was very cloudy and had a lot of sand on the bottom. The carpets have this weird stickiness to them, though they looked like they’ve been recently cleaned. The outdoor furniture and stuff was very faded and old looking.

Property not as described. Water leaks, wet area rug in kitchen, everything was damp, no kitchen and covered grill did not work uncovered grill was charcoal but we cant grill in a flash flood. Pool was murky and unswimmable, exterior basebaords rotting and loose 3 of us tripped noumerous times. Water coming in from window and ceiling and baseboards. Returned home to discover bed bug bites on our daughter from the waistedown and on her hands and fingers. Home is not safe for living. mgmt said they would refund then decided not to and vrbo just kept giving the run around.

This place was a great little getaway for me & my 3 adult children & my brother. We went for a family wedding at a local venue, Stonehaven. I didn't want a hotel too far away so found this place for us to enjoy a couple days to spend together. My son, the youngest has Autism & loves swimming, so he & middle daughter swam. (Pool wasn't as clean as expected but good enough.) He has to walk barefoot indoors, so was very disappointing that floors not clean as we had to wash his feet constantly. The the floor was maybe swept, but sticky & capets in rooms were stiff as if dried with whatever spilled on it or cleaned it with. Cobwebs inside by entryway & other areas. Felt like a quick clean before arrival. Beds were very nice & comfy. Each of us had a bed! We did enjoy our stay.

Ruined our entire weekend

We were so excited to celebrate our son’s 19th birthday at Mimi’s lake house. Until we arrived at 5pm the eve of. We purchased hundreds of dollars of food for a crab boil and steak cookout for the evening. Upon arrival we discovered the only refrigerator is a dorm room size for 8 people to share. Description claims kitchen NOT the case no oven, only 2 burner portable stove top. The pool was brown and disgusting, used qtip, dirt, and sticky spills on the floor. I wish I could post pictures to better show the condition. After being on the phone with VRBO for 2 hours they put us in a motel for the night forcing us to buy coolers and ice for our food. After buying breakfast the next day since we didn’t have a kitchen we floated the river and drove home to Dallas.

Family Vacation

The house is in a good location which made it easy to get to everything. It has great views and the wild life is fun to see. The pool was fun for the kids, but it was a cloudy. The house needs a good cleaning. It had a very bad pet odor. You can't really cook anything, so we had to eat out for each meal. The sink to wash dishes was small with little water pressure and the small frige didn't ŕeally keep anything cold. Overall it was a good experience.

The most perfect vacation house!!

This was the perfect place for our family!!! Tons of games! The pool was amazing!! We saw lots of deer and the location was amazing!! Close to everything!! We got to meet the owners and they were the sweetest people!!! It was the perfect place for our family!! Our 3 boys loved the house and had so much fun!!! We will definitely be back!!!!

Smells like cigarette smoke but at least there was a pool

The cons: Everything about this property was overshadowed by the stench of stale cigarette smoke. It was extremely warm in the house. They provide a fan in every room and an extra window unit in the ktichen/living area, but they barely do anything when it's 100+ outside. But, that's mostly normal for a mobile home in the summer. I also felt like the place needed deep cleaning. The pros: The pool and outdoor pool area were a lot of fun and relaxing. The bird watching was amazing. There were a few friendly deer passing through in the evening. The location was great as it is very short drive to Canyon Lake and easy to get to New Braunfels, as well. Overall, if you're sensitive to cigarette smoke or the heat, I wouldn't recommend staying at Mimi's place. Otherwise, we mostly had an enjoyable time.

Great setting and location to explore area

The property is on a little hill so the balcony provides very nice views. The residence is roomy and comfortable. The back yard above ground pool was wonderful on our Labor Day get away. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Mimi's Place and exploring the beautiful Canyon Lake area

Minutes from the lake! Classic feel

The house is prime location. Easy access to the lake, and great pool and cozy feel. Def would choose this location again. My only concern is some of the appliances are dated
