After three weeks here, I’m leaving this review to expose the false promises.Pros: Rooms are nice, front desk staff are wonderful, laundry is free and always available.Cons: The AC never worked—rooms stayed at 76 in July. The maintenance team came repeatedly but ultimately said it was “unfixable.” The new bed frames have built-in outlets that aren’t connected to anything—purely decorative. Maintenance improvised an outlet extender, but why install nonfunctional outlets at all? Electrical issues continued with flickering lights. The property manager is difficult to reach; it took three days of repeated requests just to get extra towels. My sink doesn’t drain, and one morning I woke up to a hot fridge that spoiled all my food—maintenance fixed the fridge but ignored the sink despite it being a foot away.Overall, 17 John is a work in progress, and you’ll have to advocate for yourself constantly. The “unfixable” AC alone crosses the line, but combined with the other issues, it’s unacceptable. Even after these disruptions, a late checkout couldn’t be guaranteed. It’s convenient, but for the price, I cannot recommend staying here if you have other options.
