Beautiful view
Great location and views to die for. Parking a bit tight but lovely neighbours who were happy to move cars around. We used the property as a base to attend a wedding and extended our stay to visit Alnwick and Holy Island - Newbiggin is a little tired and rundown and there isn’t a lot to do in the local area.

Patricia was great to deal with and the welcome package was amazing. We loved the property. Very clean and well equipped. The views were gorgeous. Supermarket, pubs and restaurants all in a short walk. We definitely look forward to returning to Newbiggin by the Sea and staying here again.

On entering the property we were blown away, the view was outstanding. The house itself was beautiful and spotless clean. The owner had great communication when we asked about local things to do. Couldn't of asked for a nicer few days away, we will definitely be booking again.

Expensive mistake
Very disappointed with stay, Although communication with owner was good the property was expensive and overall disappointing. Internal walls should significant signs of damp and paint was peeling in a number of rooms. Water pressure in bathroom as reported before is very very low so shower is a trickle. Main bed mattress very poor condition and uncomfortable, dishwasher poorly installed the local odd job man confirmed this and said it would be a constant issue ,it was. We had planned to stay 4 weeks due to delay house moved but left after two weeks and moved to a hotel,

Firstly, I would like to say how upsetting I found this review, after having many years of happy and returning guests. As for the comment on the condition of the mattress I was shocked as it is inspected after every stay, and a new bed topper had been applied prior to your arrival. The shower is not a power shower , but it is also not a trickle . The house is reasonably priced as it has full sea view . I feel 14days is an extremely long time to spend in a house that you didn’t find suitable.

Wonderful accommodation
The house is in a wonderful position overlooking the beach: we stayed there for 5 days with our 3 Granddaughters (2 aged 6 and one aged 11) who thoroughly enjoyed both the house and the beach despite some awful weather. Patsy, the owner, kept in touch both before and during our stay and there was a welcoming hamper waiting for us, My wife and I hope to return soon for some 'me' time.

What a gem
We stayed at Beaches for a long weekend. The house is ideally situated over looking a beautiful sandy quiet bay, it was idyllic and picturesque. The house itself was beautiful, quite large inside, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Newbiggin itself is ideally situated to visit the majority of Northumberland’s coastline and attractions. It’s a gem and we will be back. Thank you again Patricia for the welcome pack and all your kindness.

Lovely residence, great location
We had a lovely week here. The house is well equipped and bigger than it looks from the outside. We were a little put off when we came across a couple of bad points in other reviews but these were pretty much unfounded. The house is well equipped with everything we needed and more, and is tastefully decorated, with only some very minor flaws to some finishes here and there, certainly nothing that would spoil our break. We were happy to discover we had use of a garage in which to keep the car. Our Mondeo only just fit inside but fit it did! The ad states there are steps down to the beach, which is correct. But it's a good two flights of stairs which wasn't obvious from the pictures, but again, no big issue. The host was helpful, sharing some suggestions of things we could do / see locally. We'll certainly consider staying here again should we decide to return to Newbiggin!

Firstly, a thank you to Patricia, our host who made the whole process seamless. Sometimes it is the little things that make all the difference, like teabags in the pot, and a bag of coffee, along with a pint of milk in the fridge. The house was beautifully appointed, Beds and living rooms, comfortable and the woodburning stove a delight. Our favourite thing was to sit on the two chairs in the bay and watch the world go bye. Offstreet parking in the garage was a must, as parking in the area was quite limited. a delightful stay from start to finish. Many thanks, Patricia.

Perfect for a quiet holiday
The house is right in the beach opposite the Couples statue with several steps down from the front garden to get in to the prom. Newbiggin is a clean sandy beach, but dogs aren’t allowed in it in the summer months. We walked north around the headland to Creaswell beach which was a vast sandy beach where you can walk for miles. There are takeaways and pubs in the town and food was very reasonable. The house is immaculate (and bigger than I expected) with lots of personal touches which make it very homely. But the best bit was sitting in the bay window watching the sea, sunsets and sunrises and feeling so relaxed.

Thank you for your lovely review. Newbiggin beach allows dogs from end of September to May. From the 1st May they can go on the beach 20meters to the right from the house .

Lovely sea view, great location for the beach. Didn’t go into the town itself so can’t comment on that. Lovely, clean, comfortable property, everything we needed for a lovely holiday by the sea. Great communication with property owner. Welcome hamper was a lovely surprise, thank you ! The only negative was the shower & bath were very slow running/ not much pressure , & no instructions for hob . Otherwise everything was fantastic & will definitely return to this property x thank you !!! X

I loved the property lots of thoughtful things perfect for a dog as no road to the beach and an enclosed yard at the rear of the property. We weren't that keen on New biggin by the sea as a bit tired but couldn't fault the property

Stunning sea views!
The property was lovely; I booked it because of the sea view and wasn’t disappointed! I have about 50 billion photos of the couple statue in all different lighting! The weather was perfect, and the location great for exploring Northumberland. Newbiggin is small but has everything you need and we tried to shop local where possible. If you want a bigger supermarket there’s one about 3 miles away. The house is well equipped and clean. Lovely bed linen and towels. Can’t wait to come back! Oh, and thank you for the welcome hamper- much appreciated!

Lovely property in a great location and great view. Had a lovely weeks holiday. Shower could have been better. Some parts of the kitchen could have been cleaned slighly better.

I am glad you had a lovely holiday. I will have the shower checked as it is a new shower. If the cleaner has missed anything she is happy to go back to the house and do it if you call to report it .

Lovely little beachhouse
Spotlessly clean and well decorated and furnished. We enjoyed perfect weather but no sounds of the waves as the sea was flat calm during our stay. The welcome pack was perfect with delicious croissants and lemon cake! The only slight downside is the tightness of the lane giving access compounded by inconsiderate parking by others during our stay, but this a minor niggle and we would recommend Patsy's place without hesitation.

The house is very clean and comfortable with wonderful views across a beautiful golden sand beach. The town easily accessible from the house had most things we needed. We can highly recommend the Italian restaurant in the town. Good location to tour. A great property.

We absolutely loved our stayed and have rebooked already. Thr beach was so quiet and peaceful, and also very safe as there are no roads nearby. I didn't know that there would be steps down to the beach but it wasn't an issue and on fact made it better as it felt more private then i expected. The town itself is very basic but there are lots of things to do within a short car ride. The only downside was that front bedrooms are very bright so we were woken by the sun very early so I'd recommend taking eye masks.

Wonderful property with fantastic views!
Myself, my husband and daughter enjoyed a fantastic 3 night stay at this perfectly located property. Everything was exceptionally clean, the beds were comfortable and waking up to the sea views was brilliant! The property has everything you need as regards facilities and is a wonderful base for exploring this area of Northumberland. Well worth booking - you won't be disappointed.

Amazing home from home with a full beautiful sea view as far as the eye can see. No entertainment in the town but that was what I wanted on this short stay just went to relax and walk. A little bit of a damp smell from under the kitchen sink, but the house was beautiful and I did not want go home. Expensive when broken down to price per night, could be a more reasonable price. All in all loved it 😍

Beautiful home decorated and equipped to a high standard. Be aware if u have trouble walking on stairs. There was approximately 35 stairs leading onto beach. They were staggered but one of our family has a disability. You can drive in the car to the other end of the beach and walk on which was fine. All in all it was a fab holiday. Communication with the host was first class. The views are stunning from the living room and bedroom windows.
