The space was just as described. The open floor plan of the living/kitchen area made is easy for our family to spend time together. The home was much bigger than I expected. It is spaced out very nicely. Loved having the roof top to hang out on.
When we checked in, it was as if the place had not been cleaned properly. All sliding doors to the outside were hard to open and come off track easily in the bedroom closets. Place mats were dirty, like food was still on them when we pulled them out of the drawer to set the table. The fridge sealing strip on the bottom was broken and dragged on the ground, cold air escaped the fridge easily and fridge didnât shut properly. There was only 4 spoons in the drawer. No extra paper towels under the sink and only a couple extra trash bags. None of the floor fans worked and with no AC in the house it was a pretty miserable first night of sleeping. 1 of the beds box spring was broken. Bath towels are stained/bleached and old and look as if they came from a 2nd hand used store bc theyâre all mismatched. Ceiling fan in one of the rooms was so loud you couldnât even have it on. The property manager was able to fix the ceiling fan, brought in 4 new box fans for each room and fix broken bed and give us more spoons and cleaning supplies, but took the first 2 days to do so. So our 7 day trip kept getting interrupted/privacy felt invaded having men in the home with our stuff all there and it just didnât feel right. I had to come back from the beach bc I didnât just want them in our place with all our stuff, but I also didnât want to be alone in a house with 2 men... We had the cute lights on up on the top deck for maybe 1- 1 1/2hrs one morning while eating breakfast and got a call from the property manger saying the owner of the house (who lives near by??) was complaining that they were on?? Felt a little weird being told what we could and couldnât do during our stay even though we followed the rules stated on the contract exactly. All the different men you communicate with was confusing. During one of my phones calls towards the end of the stay I had spoken to Brandon I believe about being refunded for 2 of our nights bc the place was not rent ready at all and he said we would talk to someone and we would come to an agreement shortly after our check out. I was patient with them but after almost a week of their âat the latestâ they would respond, still no word after multiple emails were sent. I called and someone texted me back but said Iâll have to wait till normal business hours to get a responseâŠreally unhappy with this company and the way things were handled with not having a home you spend a lot of money on to stay at not being âRent Readyâ.
It was one of my favorite Vrbos to date. The views from the roof top were unmatched. The house had a few things that needed to be fixed but nothing that wasnât manageable. Overall it was a wonderful stay
