Exceptional Stay - Bayfront Beauty II

Our stay at the Bayfront Beauty II was exceptional! The Good: Location! With the peninsula beach just steps away and the ocean beach just a few minutes walk, it was perfect for my family to enjoy both sides of the beach. The overall look, feel, amenities etc. were cozy and thoughtfully considered. It matches the ads description. There were even a few extras, like oil, sugar, salt/pepper and seasonings that were really helpful. And there was some beach gear that was amazing to have (chairs, sand toys, sports stuff, umbrellas - although most were broken, we did find 1 that worked). Things to consider: Parking in the garage is small, it won't fit a larger vehicle. The units are not sound proof, we were lucky to have the place to ourselves for most of our stay, but we did hear people come in late Friday night. Wear your shoes on the balcony - our feet were filthy after going out in our barefeet.

Great location but so dirty/grimy!!!!

Great location. Walking distance to restaurants, the pier, and a close-by park for kids. The garage was VERY tight and kind of awkward sharing it with a stranger? The house was superficially clean, but this place needs a good deep clean. If you’re a clean freak and meticulous like myself you’ll head straight to the store and buy Clorox wipes and clean/wipe down this place yourself. My kids were even grossed out by the mold in the shower. Think foreign substance drip marks on the trash cabinet, gross crap around toilet hinges, dust bunnies hanging off closet framing, nasty utensil drawer with crumbs and debris, pink and black mold in showers, black mold in the lid of the washer, bathroom fans totally full of dust, window screen by sink caked with dust and grime, and random dead roses in a decor lantern. Happy to send pics to any management reading this. I was frustrated and asked for my cleaning fee to be refunded and they said they would pass it on to a manager but never heard back. If they got their cleaning act together I’d come back. But I don’t recommend if you’re looking for a really clean place. Oh and also why wouldn’t a rental have conditioner in a beach town!? Again made another store trip to purchase our own shampoo and conditioner. They did offer to come clean the second day but by that time we were in and all our stuff was out and had cleaned it up ourselves. Not to mention just the awkwardness of that.

President's Weekend Stay

We were in the area to visit family. The property was in good condition and the very clean. We are frequent VRBO renters and the property was just as advertised. Two items of improvement for future guests. Have some rugs or something to wipe your feet off on when entering the home. It rained for much our stay and wet shoes on wooden steps are slippery. Lastly, a book with check in and check out information as well as area attractions and dining suggestions would have been helpful.

Great place and area

Floor needed a mop as it was a bit dirty and sticky, i imagine the cleaner only vaccumed. We had to request a mop and they promptly dropped one off the day after which was nice. Other than that the place was great, we slept well and the location is beautiful, we would stay there again no doubt.

Beautiful beachfront condo

Great place for a family of 6 to stay. Very comfortable beds and ac worked great. View was amazing along with nice deck to sit on. 10/10 would definitely stay here again.

Great location

We had a great time staying at this property. Perfect location and very comfortable, especially the beds! My only semi negative comment is that it was not well supplied. The main bathroom had no hand soap and only one roll of toilet paper. The kitchen had the basics but not much more, we had to purchase a wine opener. But other than those small inconveniences the place was lovely!

Great Newport Beach location for family.. TERRIBLE management by Vacasa.

The house and location were great. The house was clean and comfortable. The gate at the top of the stairs was amazing since we had a baby with us. Some things not included in the listing are that the 1 parking spot is in a 2 car garage that is shared with the lower unit. It is a VERY TIGHT SQUEEZE for 2 cars to fit. We also had a lot of trouble communicating with Vacasa, the management company. There is no consistency in who we spoke to and no one was helpful. We had extensive damage done to our car by the garage door. It automatically closed while we had our trunk open 4 times. They came out and checked it and had no solution. $3000 later, we have a damaged car. It is a HUGE SAFETY ISSUE that they insisted was fine. It also closed and hit my husband in the head. I would have recommended this house based on the location and actually house, but since we had such a terrrible experience with the garage door and dealing with Vacasa.. I would strongly advise to avoid this rental as long as it is managed by Vacasa.

Immaculate property. Great location.

Great location to experience Newport Beach and the surrounding area. Enjoyed the morning sun on the balcony overlooking Newport Bay to start each day. Property in great condition and very professionally managed.

Location and a View

This upper level unit was modern and clean. Each bedroom had a ceiling fan and a smart TV. Linens and towels were provided. Beach chairs were in the garage for use to as well. We loved the location, which is just steps to the bay. Our friends were able to dock their boat just down the street to pick us up for a boat ride through the bay. We also paddle boarded and kayaked in the calm bay water. We also enjoyed sitting on the balcony/deck to enjoy the bay view. The beach was a short walk across Balboa Blvd. We were centrally located within walking distance to the Newport pier and many restaurants.

Nice but..............

Great location, parking more than one car is a real problem on the dead end street at a public dock and beach. The beds did not have fitted sheets, they used top sheets for the cover of the mattress should have had fitted sheets for this kind of property. Pots and pans not clean and very scratched up, should be replaced for this type of property. Deck was dirty and could be scrubbed. Nice place, missing the details to get 5 stars in my opinion.
