The street this condo is on is being renovated, so we were a little nervous when we got through the really nice neighborhood and then passed houses in various states of disrepair to get into this unit. In the end, that is not a reflection of what this suite is like, but worth noting the expectation. Don't let what's temporarily happening on the street deter you from staying here.The suite was very nice. Super clean, fresh, and comfortable for my wife and I and our two kids. There are something like a dozen or more units in this building, four in each entrance, and it was still a pretty quiet stay. The young couples below us were a little noisy around 10 but got quiet pretty quickly. We really appreciated the extra beach chairs! We needed to borrow two. :) This was a great option for us to be close enough to the beach without paying twice as much for the beachfront. There are 3 Norfolk area beaches within a couple miles from the suite, but VA Beach city is only a 20 min drive, so you get there early enough in the morning to get beachside parking. We had no problems with this arrangement, and it was great to be able to go back to a room that was quiet without dealing with hotel traffic. Reviews of the area in general are mixed, but I will say it was a pleasant area. 5-10 years ago it was probably a much different place, but it's been renovated consistently over time and it looked pretty safe. One more gem: AMAZ ASIAN Cafe!Would definitely stay again.
