Tired - in need of updates and TLC

could hear the guests in a joining room needs updates and although some rooms have been done - especially the exterior Why have a car in the car park that is in need of scrapping - not a good look on first turning up for the first time

Extremely Disappointing - Would Not Stay Again.

We didn’t arrive until almost 9pm…check in took at least 7 minutes, it was very drawn out! Breakfast is only served 6-8am (we didn’t know when booking), which we felt was an incredibly small and early window - particularly as we were wanting a lie in after a long drive and day out. We asked if breakfast could be made up for us if we didn’t want to get up so early, but we were told that we would have to come down and make it up ourselves. We ended up going down for breakfast. Sadly, it was extremely disappointing… very little on offer, tasteless and cheap produce! The room was also disappointing… not enough tea bags (2 but there were 3 of us staying). No window covering in the bathroom. Noisy (on-site?) workmen on the car park chatting and constantly driving on and off the car park for a couple of hours. The cleaner knocked on the door on our day of departure (1 nights stay) asking me what time it was as she wanted to clean the room - it was 10:10, checkout wasn’t until 11:00. We didn’t feel welcome at all! If I could get my money back I would! Unfortunately, we won’t be staying again when visiting friends in the area.

Good base to travel to Silverstone weekend and handy fir supermarket and garage with McDonalds round corner. Basic but clean rooms and fresh towels each day. Pleasant staff at desk . Noisy neighbourhood dog barks in morning . Would stay again if in area as value for money.

This was probably the most overpriced and undervalue hotel stay I have ever done. The room was tiny with barely enough space to open a suitcase, the carpet was probably as old as I am and the matress had seen better days about 5 years ago. The only redeeming feature was the staff. They were all lovely (although needing a security guard in a hotel was a first for me) and quite clearly embarressed by the place in which they worked. I appreciate that it was Grand Prix weekend when we stayed so prices will be higher than normal, but to be increased by six fold and then be told that we had to pay extra for breakfast was an insult.

Staff were friendly and helpful hotel and room clean and tidy garden was really nice place to have food and drink 2nd time i have stayed will stay again when in the area

Great team great setting

This hotel has a great setting not obvious on arrival however the garden hotel and grounds are lovely. The whole team was very welcoming and helpful service standards are great

very disappointed

i was only told after check and payment made that the kitchen was closed and only breakfast was offered and there wasn't even any fresh coffee paid too much money for this stay and would have been better of in a local pub/ inn

Horrendous

I’ve never left a bad review but I just had to for this hotel because I don’t want other people to have the night I did. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a hotel, so dirty (they definitely did NOT clean the sheets to put it nicely) and food was massively overpriced and obviously frozen and dry. The young staff were all really lovely and professional though. When I told the management about the room they basically said no one complained about it yesterday when they were in that room... which didn’t make any sense as it should be cleaned after every person surely and didn’t apologise once. After telling them I had video footage of what was in that room they all of a sudden said they would give me a refund of the room but I had to ring up 2 times after this because they still had not refunded me and said they would so I rang hotels.com and they had to ring for me so they knew I wasn’t going to just let this go.

Cockroaches and Spiders

Very poor cleanliness and general condition. Big spider and spider net spitted in the ceiling above the bed so they changed my room. The other room was worse with Cockroaches!! I didn’t bother to change as I was exhausted and all the hotel seemed the same. Also holes in the ceiling and poor condition. Not recommended and worth the money!
