„The only two downsides were a lack of WiFi and cell service (only available in the main house) and no GPS. They do send you very detailed directions, but if you are wholly unfamiliar with the area, it can be a little unsettling to be on winding roads outside of civilization with no cell service. I admittedly panicked (we drove for 12 straight hours overnight), and our friend was on the verge of declaring us missing because he couldn't get in touch with us. „We had a great time at Cheryl’s cabin! The river (across railroad tracks and through a small strip of trees- about 2 min walk) is beautiful! We tried to tube the river but it was a bit low in areas. We enjoyed it nonetheless - down river is remote and scenic. There are a few swim holes near the cabin (about 4 to 5 feet deep in spots) that are beautiful with clear water, sand/rock beaches, and large rocks cropping out of the river bed. „The location alone is spectacular, particularly in mid-fall, though the boats are absolutely right that it's a cell phone wasteland.
