« It was a short stay but would stay longer if the opportunity would arise. The chickens greeted us and they are beautiful. The place was very lovely and clean. Great place to visit. If you are from the city, you would enjoy the country. »

« Beautiful property. Farmhouse reminded me of my grandparents 1890's farmhouse. I enjoyed the historical, mountainous feel of the home and location. It is nice staying at a location that isn't the cookie cutter style that has become the norm. »

« This was an amazing stay. The cabin was exceptionally clean. Towels smelled so fresh. The Host family were friendly and so understanding when "someone" locked the door from inside instead of using the outside locking system. Especially loved the donkeys. Their daughter who was the best host said she kissed donkey noses. And yes I did. They are so big and soft. Would highly recommend and stay here again. »

« We stayed at this property for our son’s college graduation from Elon University. The property was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our group of five adult family members. It was perfect for us as we needed four separate bedrooms. We loved the suite off the garage and the owner was extremely responsive which we greatly appreciated. « Peaceful and calm. Would definitely stay again. Private rejuvenation retreat, Even when it rains your eyes can feast the past for hours. The exquisite sound of the screen doors as they make their way to the snap of a close. Nostalgic, the kind that opens doors and gets banana pudding made at 1030pm ending with a sit in the porch. The history alone is worth the stay. Can’t wait to see what they do next!. »

« We were looking for a quiet, serene oasis in a rural setting to recharge. We found it at Old Mills Farm. The property exceeded our expectations. Pride of ownership was evident from the moment we entered this quaint but upscaled home. « Beautiful farm and luxurious dome lodging. I would love to book again and plan to share this gem with others. Looks like a great spot to host a wedding and a great spot for kids (lots of cute friendly goats). I booked with a good friend and we mostly lounged on the patio and enjoyed the hot tub, sauna and cold plunge. »

« A special place this historic farmhouse, lovingly cared for by our gracious hosts. Ideal location - high on a hill with mountain views - yet just minutes from town. Lots of deer and wild turkeys around besides the pet goats and the chickens whose eggs you are free to collect. Farmhouse is clean and comfortable and has many interesting antiques and other items that add to its appeal. Well worth the stay. »
